Falls Park North Channel Dam
Last spring, I drove to Post Falls, Idaho to see the spring flooding on the Spokane River. It doesn't look like this year's runoff is as aggressive, but the spillway at Falls Park is wide open nonetheless, and it is an impressive sight to behold. The overlook path is bathed in a faint cool mist and the thunderous roar of water is impressive in person. I hope a panoramic shot does it justice.
The water level on the upstream side is noticeably lower than last year. When I get home, I will find the links to last year's post for comparison.
EDIT: As promised, here is the post from last year for comparison!
All over the park there are remnants from the old lumber mill. I thought this looked particularly interesting.
And if you play Pokemon Go, there are several pokestops and two gyms in a short circuit one can easily walk. #teaminstinct!
Cool picture of the amount of water. We are going to get some flooding here in a lot of Montana this year, already happening with the warmer temps the past few days.
