Cool story! Glad it worked out for you. Can't say I heard of the company before but it sounds like something pretty cool for people who want to travel. I know Italy has something similar but it is a different sort of lifestyle as people will typically work a farm or something of the extent and then their free time is their own.
I think you're talking about World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF). I would like to try that too when I visit Europe. Probably work in a vineyard and make some red wine. 🍷
