Serendipity Beach Sunset

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

I think Sihanoukville has changed over the past few years its now very touristy with tuk tuks everywhere and casino's popping up all over town but despite this we managed to find a spot of natures beauty amongst the dirty city that is Sihanoukville in Cambodia. One evening me and Isa decided to walk down to the sea front in the hope of witnessing one of those beautiful Asian sunsets that we both adore. And here the results of our mission !

Even though it looks beautiful the beach that we are on it not the nicest is filled with rubbish all along the sea front and nobody seems to care about it !! It definitely doesn't deserve the name ''Serendipity Beach'' haha. Should be called some think like ''Trash Central''. We've heard that the Otres beaches just down the coast a little bit are far more beautiful but we haven't explored those yet.

Tomorrow we head to Koh Rong Sanloem and this is where we hope to find the beautiful side of Cambodia that we have both been searching for ! I guess we'll have to wait and see if it lives up to the high standards we have set after travelling to some incredible destinations is South East Asia like Koh Phi Phi.

(I might finally get round to writing about Koh Phi Phi later I know a few of you have been asking when it gong to be up.)

Thanks for reading,
Ben

It always pains me to find beaches covered in trash, such special places and then you'll find plastic all over the place. I feel like the blame is put on the food industry wrapping everything into plastic, they should be held responsible. But of course it's us individual but my rule is: never leave anything behind - only take pictures.

Haha...'Trash Central' :D
Btw, your photography skills are amazing if you managed to make 'Trash Central' look so beautiful :)

That was one of my issues with Vietnam. Beautiful. But the water was often polluted with trash.
