Nha Trang Attractions: #12 Con Se Tre Travel Area and Tourist Village
Sitting just 3 kilometres off the coast at Nha Trang, the Con Se Tre travel area is on the southwest coast of Hon Tre Island. The island is famous, of course, for the huge Vinpearl resort here, but Con Se Tre offers something completely different. In complete contrast to the modernity of Vinpearl Land, this is old style Vietnam, with traditional buildings and a more rustic approach.
It has its kitsch side with faces painted onto the rocks, but the attention to traditional building styles is good. No nail or screws here, the wooden joints are fixed with bamboo pins.
The restaurant area here is really lovely especially at night with the lights of Nha Trang offering a beautiful backdrop. The opencast tradition oven cooks up specialities to am appreciative crowd.
