Monet "en plein air" Part IV

in #travel7 years ago
It is designating a painting executed out of doors and representing a direct response to the scene or subject in front of the artist. Mr Dictionary

This is the last part of my Monet series when visiting Giverny last October. For any tourist that wants to go there, even if you're not a photographer, you will become one. There is something in that place that touches your soul and fills it with wonder. If the beauty of the place was immortalized by the man in his paintings, a mere mortal will want to capture it through his or her photographs. The vibrant colors certainly can make you feel glorious and alive!

From here...it goes straight to the main door of his dining room.

Found this by the door, with cracks and chipped parts. Looks familiar?

Right now, the access to the house is to the living room where it is full of reproduction of his paintings, including wall sized ones. With a total of more than 3,000 paintings, they can be found privately and in most museums all over the world.

The stairs leading to his bedroom are full of japanese drawings of that of a geisha. For the life of me, I can only remember that, and they were too many!

Some reproductions in his bedroom

I am not really familiar with his works but in his room accordingly, were also artworks from his friends throughout the years.

As the Father of Impressionisms

For me, a landscape does not exist in its own right, since its appearance changes at every moment; but the surrounding atmosphere brings it to life - the light and the air which vary continually. For me, it is only the surrounding atmosphere which gives subjects their true value. Claude Monet

I have seen some of his paintings with the same subject one after the other, with slight different hues in the color of the background. To be honest, to me there's not much difference except that. Although I can see the painstakingly job that he had to do to capture them in his canvass.

Passing through

Dumbstrucked!!

I kind of enjoy passing through the kitchen, the blue and green vases look nice against the yellow background. And hanging pots can also be seen in a corner.

Au revoir!

His rose garden from the main door.

Coffee anyone?

As there are no benches anywhere in the garden, in his porch steps is the best place to have that coffee.

As much as his water lily pond was immortalised by his paintings, what most people do is to see it last in their tour. Fair enough if that was the highlight in them going.

Personally, i will go there first. Then take my time in the rose garden. It is here where it's simply "amazing"!!!

All images are mine and are original, taken with my Samsung Galaxy S7.

The kitchen furniture style makes me think of the furniture in Alice in Wonderland, or Beauty and theBeast lol I used to work in call centers for 17 years before I started to do art full time in 2014. One time I spoke to someone, and had to put her name in the field on my screen. I asked her name and she said "Monet" and I said "Oh, like the artist?" and she said "No, Mo'Ney, MO - NEY" lol

Yeah..i think so too. My friend told me that the pronounciation is different..no one corrected me as yet but apparently it ends with NEY🤣🤣

Very engaging photo commentary @immarojas! I enjoyed the tour. The pathway to Monet's dining room is familiar...I must know this painting....it made me feel giddy inside for some reason - the flowers? the path? Not sure but it's a good thing.

I love the yellow dining room - it's so happy and french. The red and creamy floor - !! I want it in my house.

I have a couple of framed Monet prints in my bedroom. Not sure what they are named, I'd have to look that up.

thanks for writing this post....very enjoyable. :)

Oh wow thank you! This is part 4...perhaps u might like the 1st 3 parts? When u have time😊

Yes, I'll do that today. I really enjoyed the tour.

I'll give you some feedback later! Thanks again for putting the work into it.

Oh believe me i'be enjoyed it more😊😊

I'm glad I took the time to find Parts 1,2,3 and read them and see the beautiful photos. I loved the pond and the bridge. I get that it wasn't as fabulous in person as might be in a painting - it's the romance of the thing, right?

What a wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing!!

Oh am sorry, got a few re-steems! I was excited walking towards the pond, but the boats surprised me. Facing the pond from the bench, one wonders on the beautiful pieces that came out of it. Romance yes..very much. I still recommend visiting it☺

The way you captured these amazing pictures, it's such a beauty, wow never seen a more sweeter and lovelier place

Thank you..one of the best gardens in the world in my book☺

Hahaha well the photography queen has spoken 😁😁😁😁

With limited gardens I've been exposed to🤣🤣

Lol it not how many gardens lol it's how well you did cover them 😀😀😀

Oh let me check other gardens then thanks!

Lovely post - I am an artist and Monet is my favourite -I have painted his lily pond many times and am always inspired by his fascination with light - there is much to be learnt by studying his work.
Your photos are beautiful - thank you for sharing.

You're welcome. Though not an artist, i love his paintings. And i can see the fascination of his works too. Cheers!

This made be blush as soon as nakita ko to sa feed! I also love the kitchen because of its vintage spirit. I can imagine myself distrubuting pancakes to my 9 grandchildren 😂 while my white haired husband is his looking at the holographic crypto market chart while sipping in a cup of tea.

Haha ambisyosa lang po.

Nag-ambisyon ka eh 9 lang..dagdagan mo ate🤣🤣 Why ka blushed?

May vintage vibes kasi. Ewan ko po basta may halong past history parang ang saya ng puso ko kahit sa picture, video movie ko lang tinitingnan. Theres something about the past. #weirdlang

We all have past lives..regardless of people not believing it.

We do need to try past life regression, kaso nakakatakot

Resolving some present issues can be helped by regression, otherwise there's not much reason to do it. Some aren't ready to know and if they do, it can be detrimental to their present psychological make-up.

Your right lola, panu pag nadiscover na lalaki pala ako sa past life kaya madalas magandahan sa babae ngayon. Haha

Naalala ko tuloy yung movie na Somewhere in time.

Ni Christopher Reeves? I love that one.
We appreciate beauty in all forms..kasing ganda ni angelina jolie? I was a mom in my past lives daw.But was told am not ready to see the old me.If you were a guy, then u chose to be a girl this lifetime.Usually, relationships mga issue eh, not the orientation.

Wow !!! It's the best captured man . You did well . I appreciate your work. Amazing pictures Love it . Good luck man. Keep it up @immarojas

Thanks a lot☺

I rarely read posts in their entirety, but I definitiely did read this one. Great post

Thank you so much..that was the plan, to show it through my eyes.

Amazing your photography

Really lovely pictures... The place is home away from home

Thank you☺ Home away from home? What do you mean?
