Little electronic parts hunting in Akihabra |在秋葉原尋找電子零件之行
Recently I picked up programming again (right, after 20 years of abandoned it,don't laugh!). I mainly work on Raspberry Pi platform. Because of this, I started to buy more and more parts for Raspberry Pi 3. It is well known that getting cheap electronics in Hong Kong is our advantage. However, I also founf that the choices of electronic parts were limited. I could only see all the same handful of stuffs for months.
最近我在放下編程廿年之後再重新開始學習這技術。我主力在樹莓派上做開發。亦因為這樣，我買了不少配件。在香港買電子零件當然是要到深水埗，因為便宜。但是有個問題就是選擇不多。過往幾個月我見到的幾乎都是同一堆產品。
Of course, everbody go Taobao and yes, there are many choices and cheap too. However, the shipping fee made the way I buy parts not really worthwhile on Taobao. Those parts I want may cost less than RMB 100 in total and then I have to pay another 100 for shipping, not to mention the risk of getting bad parts. That's why I don't really want to Taobao myself.
現在每個人都會到淘寶網購。真的是便宜而且選擇多。可惜因為我每次都只是買少量，而且低價的東西，所需要付出的運費往往跟貨物的值錢差不多。總計起來並不化算，所以我甚少在淘寶買東西。
Akihabara is also a famous place for getting electronics, for many many years. Therefore, in this trip, I decided to go there again, but not for prize catching machines, I went for electronics.
秋葉原很久以前已經是著名的電子產品集中地。所以今次我亦打算到這裏碰碰運氣。
When I arrived, I briefly stopped by one of the amusement center, like for 5 minutes, then I went to those small shops behind the amusement centers. After hopping in and out a few of them, I stopped and checked the products out at this LED shop.
到埗之後，我在以往逗留很長時間的遊戲機中心逛了一圈，大約5分鐘之後，我就跑到後面小街中的電子零件商店了。逛過幾間之後，終於在這家LED商店中的商品吸引住了。
Those ready to use LED panels were just only small parts of the products they carried. There were also LED arrays of different dimensions, sizes, colors, with or without controller, etc. There were also dedicated LED controllers too. I was too concentrated on checking the products and forgot to take more photos.
除了上面見到的LED面板之外，這裏還有大量LED產品，好像不同形狀，不同像素，不同組合，大少，顏色，已經整合了控制器及沒有整合的，各種各樣的LED都有。當然亦有專用的控制器單獨出售。因為太專心看貨物，我居然忘了多拍幾張相片。
I then came across a few other LED shops, many more interesting products. Then it cames the electronics shops. Apparently, Raspberry Pi and Arduino were also propular in Japan, all the shops put them at very eye catching locations, usually right at the front doors.
在多看了幾家LED店之後，我就見到了電子配件店。從商店都打樹莓派和Arduino的產品都放在當眼處(通常是在大門旁邊)的安排來估計，樹莓派及Arduino在日本應該很受歡迎。
The models of Pi and Arduino were so complete that you could find virtually any parts available in the market here. If you were looking certain parts (especially original parts) that you couldn't find in Hong Kong and Taobao, Akihabara is the place to go to.
這裏差不多所有跟樹莓派和Arduino的產品都有供應。如果你正在尋找某些配件(特別是原廠出品的),而且冇法在香港或淘寶上找到的話，你就一定要到秋葉原來！
At the end, I didn't buy anything. The reason was : price! Prices there were around 30~80% higher than Hong Kong. So unless there was something that I 100% sure could not be found in Hong Kong, I won't pay that high premium to get it. Still it was worthwhile to go there if you're in Toyko, even just for checking new and special products!
可是到了最後，我一件電子產品都沒有買。因為這裏的價錢實在是太高了。比起香港貴出30~80%。除非十分肯定沒法在香港買到，否則我是不會付出這樣的差價的。不過，就算只是來看一下，見識一下，秋葉原這些商店還是值得大家到東京來時抽時間來看看！

感覺好像光華商場喔！
已經很久沒去過光華了。不知現在變成什麼樣子了。
以前的光華商場拆了，現在集中到一棟新的商場，逛起來更舒服了。
附近還有一個舊的地下商場，像這種零件類的，我會去那個地下商場買。
日本这些东西应该很不错而且价格也不贵吧。
不算貴，但香港更便宜。所以只應該買香港買不到的東西。

I decided to try to read out loud the chinese part without stopping. If I didn't know the letter, I would just say what sound I associated that letter with.
Ah expensive but still looks like just good fun to walk around and check things out
It was very tempting, I wanted to buy something even thought I knew they were more expensive.
