Hey Steemians! Today I am introducing all of you to Motopatagonia.com. A motorcycle tour company in Patagonia Chile.

This post is something I have not done before and I have no idea how the community will react. I guess we're about to find out. If reaction is good, I will continue a series of adventure tourism companies here in Southern Chile.

Gringalicious is getting ready to launch a new tourism business. (Details of that in later posts). The point of this post is frankly to promote a business of dear friends and partners in our new venture(s). The content is largely taken from Motopatagonia.com and is not original to Steemit. Adventure tourism is big here in Southern Chile. In fact, tourism is the number ONE industry in the town where we live and getting bigger every year. Tourism is year round here, but 'The Season' here is October thru March and especially busy January and February. So, if you like lots of people and hustle and bustle, January and February are for you. This year, I have noticed that 'The Season' has started much earlier than in years past.

The moto for a moto tour is a big deal. While this was a tough decision to make, we ultimately chose the tried and true Kawasaki KLR 650 because of its combination of range and durability--two very important factors when it comes to adventure riding. The 21" front wheel allows for good ground clearance and easy handling over dirt roads. All of that makes the KLR well suited for Patagonia. Our bikes are new and well outfitted for travel. We have owned all sorts of bikes over the years from KTMs to BMWs, but for this venture the versatile KLR was the best choice. As for luggage for the longer expeditions, we chose the Mosko Moto Back Country 35-liter pannier system. Mosko Moto pannier design is simple and durable. Of course, if you have more things you want to bring along for the nights after the riding, we have a fully equipped Toyota Land Cruiser chase truck. Our equipment choices were made with reliability and functionality in mind. All our equipment is maintained to the highest standards. We love our bikes and our Land Cruiser, and it shows!
