Maybe it is a giant praying mantis made of metal designed from mad scientists seeking world domination? I imagine you could come up with some interesting designs together.Maybe it just wants to be friends I dunno; but perhaps anyone would hide if they saw one.
While exploring the steadfast giants, we saw various symbols carved into them. It's easy to leave a mark on these rocks, they are fairly soft, so many of the symbols were simple initials from visitors, and other trivialities, but then we realized that some were different, and seemed scattered randomly across the rocks. Still not taking them all too seriously, we began tracking them. We soon realized, it was a sequence of symnbls, reminescent of puzzle pieces that seemed to belong to something bigger. A larger image. Following these pieces, we arrived at a crack of two rocks. They were connected at the top, but apart at the bottom. There were no stairs carved between them, which made sense, the slit anyway seemed much too tight to walk through, and yet there was something about this very narrow path, something that made it seem worth exploring. It was impossible to tell if it lead somewhere, or if it was just a dead end.

Anyway, that's how we (eventually) came across the aforementioned cave.

Wow! I feel a great story coming. I saw some actual symbols drawn on rocks in the California desert as well. It was near a haunted old cabin that we stayed at with errie messages written in the book. I guess a mystery is more interesting than a monster movie; but the way you two draw there should be a crazy creature or two, lol!
....and he doesn't write "would" or "could", but "gonna be"! :)
I am not sure about the bear chasing scene though? Something about running from a bear... I just can't picture myself doing that.
