Blue Lagoon - Iceland
Blue Lagoon. This place is truly amazing. It is considered one of the 25 wonders of the world. Basically, its a hot spring converted to a spa. Obviously, water is heated naturally and differs all year around between 36-40C. You can easily see that this water is blue, this might be the reason why its blue lagoon :D. It is not chlorine, its actually silica which comes with the water kilometers down beneath the ground. Silica itself is not blue but when it sees sunlight it appears as blue so basically blue color is an illusion you can see.
Before going to the Blue Lagoon I read that silica is a special substance. It heals and refreshes the skin. I was skeptical first but after experiencing Blue lagoon I can confirm you its true. At least my skin felt really soft and sweet. You can also take an extra silica mask there if you want. I did that.
There is no problem with the water dirtiness. Even with herds of people going there every day the water stays clean all the time. The reason is really simple. Water renews itself fully after every 48 hours. It's pretty weird to think because of its huge amount of water there. There is also a bar in the water. They serve only drinks there. No food for obvious reasons.
All the photos are taken with my LG G6. Didnt have my camera there because of also obvious reasons. Despite the crowds, there may be in the daytime I strongly recommend you to give this place a visit whenever you may go to Iceland. Experience like no other
