🌍 Travel Blog S1E3: Fun at Europa Park!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

When we came to Rust we checked into our hotel and ate dinner with our relatives. My two cousins and aunt were there for one day already (yes, they came to the theme park as well, all the way from Frankfurt). At this time I had the idea that we could go to Verdun the next day (more details about it in Episode 1). I booked the hotel in Verdun and went to bed.

The theme park opens at 9 AM so we needed to wake up at around 7:30 AM to be able to eat breakfast and arrive there on time. It was raining a little bit, but it wasn't that bad.

We arrived there on time and bought the tickets. The park was pretty empty, which was great!

A few facts about Europa Park:

  • It's the largest theme park in Germany
  • Second most popular theme park in Europe (after Disneyland in Paris)
  • It has 13 roller coasters
  • It can accommodate up to 60,000 guests per day

The majority of Europa Park is themed by different countries (Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria, Iceland, England, Switzerland, Russia, France, the Netherlands and Scandinavia). There are different building designs and attractions in every country.

Here are a some photos from my visit.

It was a fun day and definitely worth a visit, even with rain at times. We stayed in the park till 8 PM. Our relatives made their way back to Franfkurt, and we drove to our next destination: Verdun, France!

Hi @florijansworld

I've been there a month ago too and must say I really expected more from this park. Yes it has 3 good roller coaster and nice shows and this park is well themed too but I felt like there must have been more awesome rides 😏

If you're a theme park guy I recommend you to visit Heidepark in Soltau (Germany) this park has really good roller coasters 😎

Oh really? Cool! You are right, but its still a great park for families to have fun.

I've been there a couple of years ago, great park! I've probably been to all bigger theme parks in Germany :D
