The View From Folldal Mines

Folldal mines Is an old mining community. It was built around the copper mine from 1748, and comprises 70 buildings as well as mine galleries, slag heaps and tips.

Today, it is a vibrant museum with exhibitions, way-marked trails, National Park Visitor Centre, café, accommodation and the main attraction - the mine.
They have guided tours of the mine, museum and National Park Visitor Centre- Open every day except this day...

In these pictures you can see a view over Folldal village & Rondane mountains from the mines.

I've never seen a real mine!
I liked the mountain scenery and views of the mountains Folldal and Rondane.

It is amazing that since the end of the 18th century
the mines have been preserved
and they're used to tourists.
There is even a Museum! Very interesting information!
