Wanderlust Diary #07: Weekend Morning Walk With The Cats and Dogs

When you live in the city and you want to experience nature and/or the country-side-feeling, you only have two choices: you can either spend the weekend out of town (as long as the schedule and budget permits it) or you can just find some place within the city to have that kind of experience. For us sometimes, it's the first but most days, we content ourselves with the latter.

The other day, we took our daughter for her early morning walk and breakfast of pancakes at BGC (The Bonifacio Global City in Taguig). We normally choose this area because despite it being a city with lots of tall buildings and establishment, BGC have many parks that have trees and areas that promotes wellness where people can jog and do other outdoor activities.

So, here we are:

After our daughter's chase with the cats and the birds, we walked around the park some more. While walking though, we noticed that our daughter already fell asleep and that's when we knew it was about time to leave. We left the park with a happy heart and a satisfied tummy (thank you McDonald's!).

So there you go. That's how we spend most of our weekends here in the city. We always make sure we spend time to catch a breath of fresh air (literally and figuratively) for us, but mostly for our sweetheart. Sometimes you need not go far to find that when you live in a busy and crowded area.

The Greenway Park can be found near 25th, 26th and De Jesus streets in BGC.
