SUMMING UP OUR MOROCCO TRIP. What has changed in us?

in #travel7 years ago

It's time to start our way back home, they said.

There was someone who was happy to hear that, but definitely not me and Yan :) We needed more and more and more, we weren't ready for 2 days non stop ride in the van. Anyway, it wasn't that bad because on our way we stopped in Casablanca enjoyed the warm weather and swimming in the ocean, our JBL Xtreme speaker with chill music kept our mood on 100 percent.

Then we continued our way and suddenly our driver and curator said we will stop, the sunset is beautiful here. So we stopped our 3 vans near the other ocean shore and everyone left the road. Each one of us was happy...happy here and now.

After taking a lot of pictures I just took a moment for myself. Guys, I can't even describe what kind of emotions the ocean brings me. I believe you understand me :)

So standing there on the sand, looking at the waves we felt blessed for these kinds of moments in our lives.
Looking back over at everything that happened from the very beginning till the end, there are some things that changed us. IMG_4655.jpg

We understood that spontaneous decisions are always the best, you don't have any expectations, no plans and it feels like someone is guiding you through the Universe.
We met amazing people, every one of them has something to share, something to inspire. A lot of things learned from the older people, they shared an experience of no fear even at 50 years.

The second thing was the easy perception of things. For example, sleeping in the tent, eating the food made on the bonfire, taking the shower in the cold water or not taking the shower at all wasn't a problem or a reason to hate it. Life is easier like that :) The more uncomfortable things you get, the funnier it gets. After all, you will have something to tell your kids about.

It would be a shame if we wouldn't add the amazingly beautiful nature which inspires sooo much!

It gets your imagination to work more productive. After seeing the golden sun on the top of the mountains, all the cliffs and architecture. After the journey, coming back to Latvia, I felt so full of inspiration! Love this feeling.
And also the thought of 'unbelievable'...the thought that you are sleeping in the refuge somewhere in Africa in completely uninhabited place. These are the things to live for.

One more thing we want to count.
Every day was so full of so many actions and adventures that time went so slowly. It's kind of paradox I would say because it should be opposite right? When your day is so different and not like the previous one you feel like already one week has passed even it's been only 2 days :)

The last thing to name is the inner power. The power of controlling yourself, dealing with everybody, making compromises...it takes a lot of patience not to explode. Especially when you and your team are together more than 2 weeks.

Also, the competition with yourself, in a good way of course. For example, climbing the mountain was like 'climbing' your mind, to get rid of all those negative thoughts, I can't, I'm exhausted, why am I here and so on. You have to fight it all because, in the end, it just makes you stronger, right? :) On a long hike, there's no space for everyday distractions like phones, social media and others. There's only you and your thoughts and when you finally have a lot of time to think about anything in the world, you find so many new things about yourself.

When you are traveling with your family, friends or beloved ones, it makes the whole traveling funnier and easier. I bet you know how important it is to say to someone...do you remember? :)

After this trip, we as a couple just made our relationship stronger and now we know that we can overcome any difficulties together. When you both are strong, you're doublestrong :)

I did enjoy reading your post and watching the pics you took! I have been willing to visit Morocco some day for a long time. I hope I will have a chance to visit it soon! I do agree with how important to say "do you remember?" to someone. Sharing memories is as important as sharing feelings. Doing something together with people you love makes the thing you do much more pleased. Thank you so much for sharing your pictures and memories with us! it is such a great post :)

Thank you for your great comment! Morocco is a perfect place for a trip without throwing lots of money in it, if you will do it off season, it will make it even cheaper. Memories are what our mind and personality are made of, so it's totally worth it to create as many great memories as possible, especially if you have someone special to do it with. We're are glad you enjoyed it!
