Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn on the Chao Phraya River in Thailand
One of the most astonishing landmarks in the city of Bangkok is the Wat Arun. Wat Arun is famous for it's prang, that is massive. Wat Arun is located on the bank of the Chao Phra River, and can be seen for miles. The Khmer building style is one of the most amazing architectural styles seen in Asia. The tower is over 260 feet tall and is the tallest in all of Thailand. Wat Arun is also one of the oldest temples built in Thailand. This is one of the top six most revered temples in all of Thailand.

I can't remember what game it was... some RPG from the late 90's I think, but it had Angkor Wat as a level, and I've been in love with Southeast Asian art and architecture ever since.
