I have heard they are good to eat but never tried them myself. Have you tried them?
They have kind of a pear like flavor, and are full of nutrition. If you live in the desert, people harvest them. They can be bought in open markets really cheap. The worlds poor eat this fruit a lot because of it's affordability. Most people who try it, like it. Thanks @beccadeals.
