Plywood plant "Sveza-Novator"

Much has been written about the village Novator, which is located in the Veliky Ustyug district of the Vologda region, on the banks of the Sukhona River. Often, I mentioned the wood processing plant, which became the main enterprise forming the village.
First, a plywood factory was formed at the beginning of the 20th century, and only then a settlement. To this day, the plant operates by producing plywood.

The company "Sveza-Novator" produces plywood, much is exported.
Everything begins simply, from the forest in the form of logs.

Logs are sorted and released from the bark.

And then the log is rolled out into thin layers, which are cut into pieces.

It turns out already something similar to plywood.

Sheets are also sorted for further processing.

Equipment is imported everywhere, there are sensors and electronics all around. Permanent quality control!

Inside the manufactory there is a whole truck fleet.

Next, thin sheets are pressed into one thicker and even. At this moment plywood acquires its usual look.

Waste is not wasted. Woman-worker carrying bags with wood flour.
