Annunciation. Around the dominant

Annunciation - a village in the Veliky Ustyug district of the Vologda region, is the center of the Mardenga rural settlement. From the district center is located 15 kilometers.

In the village of Annunciation there is a Church of the Annunciation. Not so long ago there was a local House of Culture in it, but the ROC "won over" itself the church and the culture was culturally sent... to another building.

The village is located on a high hill, and the church is on its highest point. Therefore, it is visible from everywhere.

Even on the outskirts of the village on the hillside from behind the barns visible bell tower of the Church of the Annunciation. The fact that the church is the dominant of this locality is not difficult to guess.

In Annunciation, the residential sector consists of old private houses, cottages and several two-story barracks.

The old village spirit has been preserved here. This village can not be called an ordinary post-Soviet settlement, a collective farm. It's nice to walk here at any time of the year ... at night, though a bit creepy because of the high probability of the appearance of wolves on the streets.

The village of Annunciation lived by tourism. The white-bearded winter wizard Grandfather Frost is only 7 km away on an asphalt road. Locals rent houses, apartments, rooms in the tourist season. I myself eight years ago, working as a group leader, attended various entertainment events in this village.

It's just a great place for rural tourism, where you can go downhill, take a walk in felt boots, warm yourself at the Russian stove after a frosty walk, eat pancakes and pies, and most importantly, go to Russian Santa Claus! It is clear that for provincials this is a daily routine, but for residents of large cities, especially for children, this may be new.

Therefore, many tourists go here, and not in Veliky Ustyug. Positive reviews about the rest in a simple village are much more than about Veliky Ustyug.

About any places I can only judge by personal feelings and impressions. Although it was not the first time in the Annunciation, but I still do not get bored here, in this place I feel comfortable and cozy.
