A day in Bath
I'm not referring to the bathroom, or the bathtub of course but to Bath the beautiful city in England, known for its Roman-built baths that has been a wellbeing destination since Roman Times.
The Romans took advantage of the long before known hot springs building a temple and baths transforming the whole city to a spa with the Latin name Aqua Sulis ("the waters of Sulis").
This was one of my favourite day trips from London since it is a quite small but interesting place that combines the old and the new in a wonderful way. I also liked its remarkable architecture since most buildings in Bath are made from the local golden-coloured Bath Stone and date from the 18th and 19th century.
