California Dreemin' in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Carmel Valley
Title Credits go to @tonyr who suggested the name when he heard where we were headed :)
Once again I'm grabbing some quick WiFi time, to catch you all up on where I've been and am-
We camped at a beautiful park called Henry Cowell Redwoods, just outside of Santa Cruz....
...which is home to the movie The Lost Boys:
Of course we checked out the boardwalk made famous by the movie-
-pure commercialism after being in pure nature is a bit of a shock to the system.
Andddd, California is known for it's beaches, so naturally we saw our share-
Moss Landing, Monterey Bay
Del Monte Beach, Monterey
Carmel By The Sea, famous white sandy beach of Carmel Valley
Oddly I didn't really notice the clouds while we were at the beach, to the point where I was surprised the pictures were so grey.
Once again- there will be detailed posts about this incredible place when I get home, for now thanks for following me along on my journey!
Where we've been so far:
New Mexico and Arizona, the painted desert and more
You guys are all so pale! Use sun protection, even with the clouds!
Basically you make me fancy to visit every place you are posting....
oh well, maybe Santa Cruz is skippable :P
Woohoo! You guys made it to the other side! Welcome to the Pacific! I can't believe we're sharing the same ocean for the time being. That's so cool!
I like the contrast between nature and commercialism, it really does put a lot of things in perspective. What's the endgame here? Are you guys going to blitz your way back or are there more purposeful stops?
the Sea looks mesmerizing)
