Thanaka is a yellowish-white cosmetic paste made from ground bark. It is a distinctive feature of the culture of Myanmar, seen commonly applied to the face and sometimes the arms of women and girls, and is used to a lesser extent also by men and boys.

The Ancient City of Bagan

Bagan is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar. From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Pagan Kingdom, the first kingdom that unified the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. During the kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2,200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.

You knocked this one out of the park, as usual. Really great looking photos. Myanmar looks like an incredible place. I'm kind of regretting getting stuck in Vietnam. Myanmar was one of the countries I was thinking about visiting.

You should consider reporting @xuanvo to @steemcleaners. You can drop a link into their channel on steemit.chat here. 12 spam comments is a bit excessive.

damn this girl is polluting my comment space

Lovely Place and master class photography @dragonator . Do check my photography post and give your valuable opinion https://steemit.com/photography/@arvindsingh/delicious-food-photography Cheers!!

So sad to see the long necks here. I have been a few times at the lake before they shipped them in as another tourist attraction.
Thanks for the pictures - a lot looks like it looked 15 years ago :-)

Great post, very informative, thank you. @dragonator

Did your spam bot break or something? Holy cow, 12 comments that say absolutely nothing. Don't you understand that everyone hates spammers?

could you help me out with blocking ... not sure how this works yet.

You can't really block. You need to report to steemcleaners. Go to that steemit.chat channel that I linked. Just paste in the link to your post and say something like "12 spam comments on my post".

If you want to waste your VP, you can flag the comments with the little flag icon, but there's not much point. It's better to save your VP and flag her posts to eliminate payouts. Hopefully, whoever runs that account will shut it down and go back to twitter or instagram.

i flagged a few and put her account link on the steemcleaner chat...thanks
