We visited Sucre, the capital of Bolivia
Sucre, named after the Grand Marshal of Ayacucho, Antonio Jose de Sucre, is the capital of Bolivia. With its historic buildings and sites, museums and cultural heritage, it is a very popular destination for tourists, foreign and domestic.
It's also known as the "White city" because of its numerous white colonial style buildings which give it a peculiar charm and identity. What we most liked about the city was exactly that, the unique style it has amongst the cities in Bolivia. One can breathe and feel the history of the city whilst walking its streets and enjoying its mild climate.
Our visit was improvised, therefore short, so we didn't have a lot of time on our hands, so we couldn't visit all the touristic destinations in the city itself, and on the outskirts of the city, which is not that bad because it gives us a big reason to return.
Until next time, beautiful city of Sucre! It was a pleasure.
