Very interesting indeed. Lifebuoy soap, ha ha. That brings me back to my childhood when Lifebuoy was used to wash the children as well as the laundry.

Good to know that. But for laundry that would make a costly choice.

In Ireland in the 1960s it was the cheapest soap you could get. Few people had washing machines in those days so they used the big red bars of Lifebuoy soap to scrub the kids and the laundry.

Most popular soap definitely. In 50s perfumed soaps took over, but in India many still stick to it, because the soap is simple and never have been an issue.
