Treviso is a city in northern Italy and the capital of the province with the same name.

It is a pleasant city with several attractions that deserve attention, but which serves and which base for departing in excursions in the surroundings.

Reconstructed after World War II bombings, the city center is a crowd of lined streets and sidewalks. Looking up you can see fragments of the paintings that once decorated the houses of Treviso.

The city is surrounded by walls and aqueducts. Raul Sile passes south of the city center and its waters are directed into canals across the city, lined with houses or green lawns, roaring lakes, fountains and small parks.

A peculiarity of the city is the air of prosperity and comfort.

In Treviso there is the Benetton clothing empire, which has a big store behind Palazzo dei Trecento palace in downtown.

Nowadays, Treviso is one of the engines of the Italian economy, alongside Milan and Turin.

From an enogastronomic point of view, the city is known for two things: the so-called "radicchio rosso di Treviso" and "spritz" (the aperitif is appreciated by the young Trevisans). Of high quality wines specific to the area, we mention prosecco and cabernet.

According to some experts, the cake called tiramisu and now known around the world would have been produced for the first time in a restaurant in Treviso in the 1960s.

Treviso is located in the center of a highly agricultural area (cereals, vegetables, wine), but it is also an important industrial center (glass, ceramics, paper, textiles, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry)

The charming Treviso still preserves the medieval walls and a large number of historic buildings. The ancient traditions are preserved with holiness, along with the ways of preparing local food and wine production. Since the 13th century, Treviso has been called the Gioiosa et Amorosa Mark (Parish Vesele and Adorable), for how locals know how to appreciate life.
