Turkish Tea Culture

Today I want to tell you about the Turkish tea culture.
Turkey is one of the top five tea producers in the world and in my opinion in terms of consumption Turkey is exactly the first.
Tea is drunk from small transparent cups, similar in shape to the tulip. Turks say that this form, narrowed to the top, allows you to keep the drink hot for longer.
For a day an ordinary Turk can drink about 30 glasses of a hot drink. And this is not the limit.
You can be sure that you will be offered tea wherever you go. The question "do you want tea?" Will be immediately second, after "how are you?".
If you go to the store for an electric kettle, you will definitely be surprised by what you see. All the world famous brands specially for Turkey produce quite different teapots. Tea in Turkey is prepared in special way: there are two teapots - one bigger, another smaller - in the bottom one boiling water, in the upper one tea leaves.All this takes a long time to boil and only after that you can drink, diluting one with another. The essence of the process is that the tea in the upper teapot fumed, revealing its fragrance. Stale tea in Turkey is nonsense.

Surprisely tea is not only the drink type but a very important part of social life in Turkey. Tea is a sign of hospitality and friendliness,a pledge of a sincere conversation or a successful transaction, and even, in the opinion of some, an antidepressant. It is not surprising that he is so popular with his own and causes such interest among foreigners.
