The number of entries yesterday was very good with many high-quality images so it was extremely hard to decide on the winning one. The beauty and grace of these creatures is astonishing. They glide effortlessly around our oceans impressing all that pass them by. This particular one had an interesting colouration that I had not seen before.

The island located on the Indonesian border is the island of Sabang. This small island saves a million natural beauty. A stunning beach, and underwater beauty that makes this island very crowded with foreign tourists. A photo that I took on the Ujoeng beach kareung at sunrise some time ago on Sabang island.

The area has little light pollution to disturb astronomical viewing and is home to the Siding Spring observatory which is has more than a $100 million in scientific equipment including 44 telescopes. The largest is the Anglo-Australian Telescope (AAT), a 3.9-metre equatorially mounted telescope, sits at an altitude of a little over 1,100 m and was ranked in 2009 as the fifth highest-impact of the world's optical telescopes.
