Boats on Rio Paraguay. In the north of Paraguay, I was lucky to be invited to stay in an Indigenous community for a few days. Most of the local are fishermen and rowing out on the river on these boats; I will never forget the amazing fish barbecues they prepared!
What a great contribution from @jpphotography to the photo challenge! I have visited @jpphotography blog and upvoted his post called North American Friday: Payphones in Cuba. @jpphotography amazing entry from Paraguay is qualifying for the weekly challenge where it will be competing against the previous and upcoming winners of the week:
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #75 - winner announcement!
@vcclothing Asian Sunday entry:
My view from the hotel balcony at Atlantis on the Palm in Dubai, was the perfect spot to watch the sun set behind our building as we relaxed after a long flight from Africa. After 3 weeks of camping through Africa the Atlantis had the most comfortable bed ever haha.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #75 - winner announcement!
@itchyfeetdonica Australian Monday entry:
This is the stunning sunset at Whisky Bay, a peaceful stretch of sheltered beach inside Wilsons Promontory National Park in Victoria, Australia. After we drove to the car park in the heavy rain and walked through a moist gully and sand dunes, we arrived to this amazing secluded beach when the sun came out and started to set.
@jpphotography Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
View on Bay of Islands, New Zealand. Bay of Islands is an area dotted with more than 100 beautiful small islands off the shores of the North Island. Bay of Islands is a popular destination; This photo is from one of the best viewpoints on one of the larger islands, accessible only by boat.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #75 - winner announcement!
@karma-panorama African Wednesday entry:
This is the cobra wall, in funeral complex of Djoser of Saqqara, Egypt. These female cobras are a symbol of the monarchy evoking the goddess Ouadjet de Bouto, protector of the North, who embody the protective and destructive power of the pharaoh.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #75 - winner announcement!
@nenio European Thursday entry:
The Robba Fountain in Ljubljana (Slovenia). It is also known as the three rivers fountain, since it symbolizes the main three rivers of the European country. It was made by the Italian artist Francesco Robba in the 18th century. Behind the fountain the Ljubljana Cathedral can be seen.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #75 - winner announcement!
@gunnarheilmann North American Friday entry:
This is a lucky shot one gets rarely. Last year i was at the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in California photographing at night. Then take a 4000 years old tree, 3 Shooting Stars (the third one is hard to see in low res) and a plane add the Milky Way and wait for this to happend it in front of you in the same minute you sit there. I got lucky and managed to get it in one single long exposure Light Painting. Starting off with a first 2minute of the exposure at F22 ISO 3200 lighting up the Metusalem, then when I was finished with that I gave the Milky Way another 30 seconds to develop, changing the settings of the lens to F2.8. Then we saw 3 shooting stars in the sky plus that air plane. What a surprise! What makes that picture so special is that there was no layers needed in post-production. Just the way I like it, No Photoshop needed.
The winner of the weekly challenge will be selected by you based on the dollar value of this post and then entered to a monthly and possibly yearly challenge on the way to win the price of 200 SBD in total. You can give @jpphotography your support by upvoting this winner announcement post.
My next challenge is coming shortly: Asian Sunday. Get your pictures ready! :)
