Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #29 – winner announcement!

@best-trip-eva Asian Sunday entry:

Sunrise at Mt. Rinjani (3,726 meters or 12,224 ft). This is the second highest volcano in Indonesia. Mt. Agung - the highest volcano on Bali island, which recently erupted - is visible on the back-right. All three of the Gili Islands can be seen before it. On the left side in the clouds the perfect cone shape of Rinjani is visible. The picture was taken the end of August 2017 and the trekking of the volcano was the highlight of my journey in Indonesia.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #29 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

On my first visit to New Zealand I spent a night in downtown Auckland. Early in the morning I made my way to a bridge from where I could overlook the skyline and some interesting intersections below. With a longtime exposure I could create a nice effect for the photo.

Lhoknga is one of the best coastal areas in the greater Aceh face to the Indian Ocean. Therefore Lhoknga is one of the best sunset locations in Aceh. Almost every day and especially on Sunday crowded young people who come to enjoy and capture the sunset in Lhoknga. One of them is Sunset Surf Cafe which is a cafe directly opposite to the sunset.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #29 – winner announcement!

@jpphotography African Wednesday entry:

This dune looks amazing - until you attempt to climb it! The sand makes it really hard to lift your feet and the strong winds are not improving the situation. However, the view from the top of this dune in the Moroccan Sahara totally made up for that and watching the colours of the majestic dunes slowly change during golden hour was one of the most amazing sunsets I have seen on my travels!

@davidgermano European Thursday entry:

Just an example of the amazing place that is Covão d'Ametade, a eco-campsite located in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park (North-Central Portugal) and integrated in one of the largest glacial valleys in all Europe. This beautiful stream is just one of several scenarios that one can enjoy at that place!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – North American Friday week #29 – winner announcement!

@kouba01 North American Friday entry:

In a small sentence I could summarize by "by far the best museum ever! "
So yes I liked, because absolutely everything is splendid in this museum, since the very singular architecture (part of the building is vintage -1912- the other was completely redone in modern style in 2004), until to the collections it contains. Royal Ontario Museum-Toronto Canada

El Capitolio or the National Capitol Building, was the seat of government in Cuba until the Cuban Revolution in 1959.It is a replica of the one found in Washington.It was being renovated when I visited so we couldn’t go inside but the whole area around it is worth exploring.

One day I just have to make it to Cuba:)... Great entry!

Question @czechglobalhosts

There are some photos entered in this contest that although they are beautiful, even wonderful shots, they are not from South America.

Will you be considering them for a future Central or North American contest instead?

Beautiful pristine nature full of exotic wildlife at the Bri Bri Waterfalls in the Limon Province, Costa Rica. If I could submit a video instead of photo, you would be able to hear the incredible sounds of Costa Rican jungle, a mixture of sounds produced by cicadas, howler monkeys, tropical birds etc. The nature and wildlife of Costa Rica is truly outstanding.

The more I see those beautiful images of the Torres del Paine the more I want to visit this magnificent place. One day! For now happy to receive those beautiful images in my challenge. Thank you so much! Tomas

Yes, Bolivia - a traveler's dream and a photographer's paradise. From my photo here, you see Laguna Colorada (Red Lagoon), a shallow salt lake that is 4000 meters above sea level in the altiplano. The color is caused by red sediments and pigmentation of some algae. This stunning lake is home to nearly-extinct flamingos.

Wow, very happy to get this rare image entering the contest! Well done!

What a stunning photo to capture these colour combinations

I had this photo all ready to go as soon as your post came out, and then I saw your featured photo!!! Anway, since I've prepared it, I might as well still post it.

The Incans terraces at Moray isn't one of the man tourist destinations but was recommended to me by the taxi driver who I booked for a tour around the Sacred Valley. It's one of the places where you have to see with your own eyes and still wonder, have we really progressed that far in the past 1000 years or so?

Actually that is fantastic to get the entry matching my invitation image. Great job.

Thank you! I was actually quite hesitant to post it initially when I saw the one you used.

Sunrise on Pico Bolívar- An epic view from the Peak "La Concha" towards Pico Bolívar at sunrise.

The Pico Bolívar is the highest mountain in Venezuela. The famous attraction is named after Simón Bolívar, who is a hero of Venezuelan independence.

Truly stunning image! Thank you so much for your participation. Tomas

Rurrenabaque is the gateway to the Amazon Rainforest in Bolivia. It sits on the banks of the Beni River and while waiting in town to head into the Amazon there is not much to do other than climb a nearby hill to get a view in the late afternoon.

Just beautiful! What else to say!

When I visited Machu Picchu, I had quite low expectations. In fact, I expected it to be a place full of tourists with only one famous viewpoint. I was so surprised when I arrived at the Incan city and realised that it was actually possible to walk inside the ruins! It was inside the ruins of Machu Picchu where I captured this photo.

04-jpp-20151023.jpg

Wow! What a stunning image, truly tremendous. Thank you kindly!

I felt exactly the same! I was hesitant to visit this famous place for fear of the over-crowdedness. And when I hiked there, I was stunned by the harmony between the ruins and the natural setting, and I was lucky to have experienced the sun, the rain and the fairyland shrouded by mist later on. I stayed there a whole day and was reluctant to leave. Totally different experience than I imagined! =)

Thanks for your comment, I left a reply below the post in my blog :)

We went to a lake in Patagonia (South America) in 2018 and were likely the first people on the planet to visit there (it required a helicopter). The story of this visit is seen the the post below. A beautiful wild place. This is without filters or photoshop alteration. We like the contrast between the clouds and the lake and the glacially-scoured rocks. Enjoy. Thanks!

What a beautiful shot! Thank you so much for your submission!
