Beautiful spectacle of the golden hour, after hiding the sun, beautiful colors that unfold in the sky. It is something that always leaves me ecstatic, and I enjoy it very much. I took this photo from Paseo Colón, Puerto la Cruz, a coastal city, located in Anzoátegui state, Venezuela.

@capitanonema Asian Sunday entry:

Hello, this is my entry. Thanks. Seoul is one of those places where it seems to be in another dimension. With this photo I tried to turn the capital of South Korea into a world close to science fiction.

@paulmp Australian Monday entry:

Flying over the Hill Inlet towards Whitehaven Beach in Queensland's Whitsunday Islands is just incredible. I photographed this on my third lap in a sea plane, the pilot had been circling a few times so I could get the photos I had in my head.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – North American Friday week #107 – winner announcement!

@jpphotography North American Friday entry:

Cuban women walking in Santiago de Cuba. Santiago de Cuba has some impressive colonial buildings, but most parts of the city are rather poor. I loved exploring these parts of the city, but every few metres someone asked me if I was lost - little tourists ever leave the center. In the districts outside of the center, people are very friendly and nobody is trying to make a quick buck by scamming tourists.

One of many famous "Fat Statues" by Fernando Botero found in Medellin, Colombia. Born in Medellin in 1932, Fernando Botero is one of the most recognized artists of Colombia as well as all Latin America. He is known for a very specific artistic style (sometimes referred to as "Boterism") that is characterized by enormously large figures of people and animals with exaggerated or even distorted body proportions. To put it less formally, he is known for his signature "Fat Statues". These statues can be found all over the world - from Germany, Italy and Monaco to France, New York, Singapore, and, of course, his homeland Colombia.

The Llovizna National Park

La llovizna.jpg

Lagoons, waterfalls and paths with lush vegetation, are some of the wonders that await you in the drizzle national park. Located in the city of Guayana, Bolivar in southern Venezuela.
The park has several viewpoints to take pictures, sit and admire the landscape. The floating trails are very beautiful. So for those who wish to visit the park I recommend without fail: Comfortable sports shoes, bring drinking water, snacks and an umbrella.

Andean landscape near Banos, Ecuador

Hiking up El Altar volcano in Banos region was one of the most challenging and at the same time most beautiful hikes I have done in my life. I had to make it through knee-deep mud, pass some angry cows and spend a cold night at 4.000m, but the views I got on the way were simply amazing. I took this photo just some hundred meters before reaching the crater lake at 4.200m. I could not go any further since the hiking track ends at the crater lake; reaching the top would have required proper ice climbing gear.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

I saw a lot of beautiful landscape in Bolivia, a lot of them involve only mountains and rocks but some have nice friends in them. I found flamingos interesting, maybe because I can not see them in my country. So, went I have the chance to admire some, I take the time.

Planet Earth is so diverse...
Each continent is different, each countr is different, each region is different, each city is different, each street is different, each travel is different. That statement was also confirmed on our travel across South American part where we saw amazing deserts and stunning glaciers just few days apart.

Find your way back with this sign. A cool signalization found in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in Colombia. The sign indicates the different farms nearby and the direction to the local village, Minca.
