This photo was taken during one of my Hitchhiking trips where the patience not only rewards you with a ride, but also with moments of utter contemplation.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #102 - winner announcement!

@karma-panorama Asian Sunday entry:

Walking the Great Wall of China is an experience not to be missed. It is harder than I expected but it was well worth the effort. The path was steeper and more slippery than I thought. Yes you can take an elevator, but I think it takes away from the experience. So instead, I walk one end to the other of the Badaling entrance. A nice day in Beijing.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #102 – winner announcement!

@drmincu Tuesday of Antarctica and world's oceans entry:

The British Atlantic coast is rugged and beautiful. Nestled atop rocky shores are lighthouses which used to guide the sailors of days of old. It has an eerie quiet feeling that probably is unique to this amazing place.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #102 – winner announcement!

@vcclothing African Wednesday entry:

We came across this Boabab tree in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. They also call this tree the upside down tree, as its looks like the roots are in the air and the earth is the foliage. It was a nice spot in the shade.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #102 - winner announcement!

@drmincu European Thursday entry:

This week for me is UK week. Here is another snap from the Portland Bill, of the old lighthouse. I really love the whole beacon of hope significance of the lighthouse, and as I am quite fond of nautical stuff... I tend to over photograph them. Hope you like it!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – North American Friday week #102 – winner announcement!

@ladybug146 North American Friday entry:

Best time in the Alberta prairies is harvest time! Taken in Red Deer Alberta at Bowden Farms. Spent an afternoon getting lost in a sunflower maze at this popular local attraction where I later had a photo-shoot with a friend and her daughter. Our wet summer and lack of sunshine didn't allow the flowers to grow as big as they normally do but still the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Dusk in Quito

This dusk is in Ecuador in the Historic Center of Quito, it is one of the largest and best preserved in Latin America, it is a charm composed of: mountains and volcanoes, old alleys decorated by flowery balconies with bohemian airs. It is the second highest capital in the world. Quito is located on the slopes of the Pichincha volcano and was declared by UNESCO First Cultural Heritage of Humanity, in 1978.

Let's try with famous Atacama Desert. This amazing place on Earth offer many lagoons and I have to admit that I lost track of which one is this. Sorry about that and I would be greatful if anyone knows and is able to help. However photo speaks for itself, so enjoy!

View of a beautiful sunset from the Paseo Colón in the city of Puerto la Cruz. Anzoátegui State, Venezuela. It really is a spectacle to watch the sunsets from there. This shows a spectacular color, after the rain that fell on this lovely place, moments before.

Good morning, friend Tomas, as always thanking you for your great support, which gives me more and more impulse to continue doing what I like, although my little camera and my computer sometimes make me sweat blue drops, ha ha, but well there I go . Thank you very much for choosing my photo, well and at the same time I inform you that I already made my publication of the day.

Sunset on the Paseo Colón. Puerto la Cruz-Venezuela
Splendid sunset after an afternoon of heavy rain. Its bright orange and yellow colors emitted by our sun are fantastic, I appreciate this divine magic of the great sun and our beloved nature.

The rain forest of Colombia. I took this picture while walking/hiking in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. I went to a waterfall near Minca and came across this gorgeous three with red leaves.

Photo of a sunset at Caracas (Venezuela), the image shows a part of the southern hills of the city. During some months of the year the skies are very clear and there are beautiful and colorful sunsets, as the one shown in the photo.

Sunset over the salt desert. Bolivia, with its beautiful scenery is the perfect place to go for an expedition and relax. So many people were there at the same time but yet, no one can be seen for miles. Perfect moment.

Sunset in Boca de Río. Margarita Island

Enjoying a family walk on the beach, we decided to park the car and take some pictures between them, this wonderful sunset. Ideal to participate in this challenge.

This is a panoramic view of Paulista Avenue, Sao Paulo / Brazil, this picture I took from the 17th Floor, in a gazebo they have in the building.
It is one of the capital and busiest of the Capital, business center, banks and offices of large companies.
