Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - South American Saturday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of South America.

Mount Fitz Roy, 3,405 m of pure granite. Among the most technically challenging mountains for mountaineers on Earth and one of the most beautiful scenaries for me. I went to El Chaltén in 2017 where I spent 5 days just siting there for hours looking at this mountains.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Place on the photo is famous Mount Bromo in Indonesia. Locals call it Gunung Bromo and this volcano is one of top Indonesia’s attractions as it offers amazing scenery. Tip: wake up early and be there at sunrise – well worth getting up!.

Right in Sydney's CBD is a harbour named the "Darling Barbour" it is a very nice to visit. You can picnic around the marina and the view over the city is great. I went for a walk ever there during the night and captured Sydney's skyline.

Gampong Jawa Is one of the places where fishermen do the activity of pulling nets. This location is also a place for photographers to look for the moment. How not, the sea which is 3km away from the center of Banda Aceh city and also facing directly with the Indian Ocean offers a million enchanting natural beauty.

In 1881, Gustavo Adolfo Wulff Mowle, a German coal trader and shipper, migrated to Chile. In 1904, he bought a piece of land on Castle Hill in Viña del Mar, part of the greater Valparaiso metropolitan area. In 1906, Wulff built a house here and in 1917, added a tower and other features to make it a castle. In 1959, the city of Viña del Mar bought the castle and turned it into a museum and cultural center before being declared a national historic monument in 1995. I had a chance to visit this castle in 2009 when I traveled through Valparaiso and loved how it looked perched over the Pacific Ocean.
The salt lakes near Salta in Argentina are some really impressive view. The whole ground looks grey-ish white until the horizon, completely flat so you really lose your sense for dimension. Weare becoming even smaller than we are already are!
The more images I see from this place, the more I want to visit. One day I will:)....
There are a view salt lakes in the Andes, definitely some mind blowing sight!
Machu Picchu is a place that I was a bit reluctant to visit at first, simply because it's too famous. I was afraid to be drowned in the crowds just visiting an Inca citadel situated on a mountain ridge. But when I was there, I was totally amazed by how the extensive structures from 15th century sat in perfect harmony with the natural setting and the camelids. Especially when I stayed late till it's shrouded by mist, the whole place felt like a wonderful fairyland.

Haha, great shot! I remember seeing many Machu Picchu photos here. Yours is of a llama, and mine is an alpaca, on the other side with some mist. ;)

View from Isla Incahuasi, Bolivia
Sourrounded by the Salar de Uyuni salt lake, the view from the "cactus island" Incahuasi is impressive. The island is home to a large population of huge cactuses that make humans seem tiny when standing next to them!

This photo was taken at the Monserrate Hill in Bogotá (Colombia), it is at more than 3000 meters above sea level. It is peregrination site, since there is a Basilica at the summit of the hill. In the photo you can see a statue of Christ on the cross. The hill looking in straight line of the image is the Guadalupe hill, which it is also a peregrination site.

The natural monument Las Tetas de María Guevara is constituted by two twin hills located in the center of the island of Margarita, near the La Restinga lagoon, in the Nueva Esparta state in northeastern Venezuela. One of the local legends says that these sine-shaped hills were named in honor of a mestiza woman from Cumaná, who fought in the War of Independence of Venezuela and whose tomb is under the hills.

This beautiful lagoon is one of the most important of the Merida State, also one of the largest. It is approximately 3,650 msnm and is of glacial origin. Presents a high mountain vegetation, despite being located in the tropics, has a high altitude, which gives these characteristics to the landscape.

Graffiti on a wall in Banos, Ecuador. One thing I found in Ecuador was there was a lot of art put out for the public by the public. Lots of graffiti in other words. Most of it was great.

Today I show you a photograph of a sunset on a very peculiar beach south of Isla de Margarita (Venezuela): El Yaque. This beach combines beauty with sports. Its attractions are many but it is characterized by a strong and constant wind ideal for water sports. In addition, it offers a radiant sun that covers the entire beach.
