First Nite in White Pocket - Arizona
This photograph is really special to me. I took it on my very first trip to White Pocket. When i first lay foot on these grounds i was sooooo overwelmed by its diversity in shape and color. There was this puddle but yet a little wind so the reflection is not perfect. Yet i find it so cool. This is one of the very first photos that i took there. During the 30sec. exposure i lit up the mountains with a LED-Lenser X21.r.2 to actually get to see it in the photograph at the end. The camera was on ISO 400 and the lens on F4 16mm.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winners of the previous contests of the week and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting their winner announcement posts below:

Elephant mountain is easy to reach by metro and after a half hour hike up several stairs it offers an excellent view of Taipei and the unique Taipei 101. At sunset the viewing platform is always packed with people and many photographers.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #82 – winner announcement!

@fotogruppemunich Australian Monday entry:

I was able to capture this beautiful sunset in Sydney. I took the picture from the ferry. The trip over I have always changed the lenses back and forth because by the trip again and again different possibilities resulted. My goal was to get the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House on one picture. Have a good start into the new week!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #82 – winner announcement!

@jpphotography Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Great Ocean Road Long Exposure, Australia. In 2016, I escaped Melbourne for a few days to cycle along the famous Great Ocean Road. On the first day, I got unlucky with the weather and instead of spending the night in my tent as I had planned to, I arrived soaking wet at a hostel. Luckily, on the second day the rain had stopped and I was able to make some stops on my way to capture the incredible landscape.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #82 - winner announcement!

@karma-panorama African Wednesday entry:

The construction of Karnak temple, in Egypt, started 4000 years ago and continued up until the time the Romans took control of Egypt, around 2000 years ago. Karnak is eclectic, since every Egyptian ruler who worked at Karnak left his own mark. Those are the statues of Ramses II as Osiris.

Located in one of the many lakes in Algonquin Park which is situated three hours driving from Toronto towards Quebec province. It is considered the most beautiful park in the whole province of Ontario. One of the most beautiful in whole Canada.

Dusting Of White
The storm is moving so fast that snow is still hitting the ground after the moisture cloud has moved past. Creating this mist like effect on the ground, which surrounds the beautiful red rock mountains of Sedona Arizona USA. This image was captured on 2-18-2019.

Tulum Ruins, Mexico

Located right on the edge of the Caribbean and surrounded by palm trees and pristine beaches, the pyramids of Tulum are certainly some of the most beautiful Maya ruins in Yucatan. Despite having to share this place with hundreds of tourists, I really enjoyed my visit!

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Stunning shot! Very familiar place btw haha :))

Your picture is very beautiful, very warm.

This image was taken at Tangle Creek Falls in Jasper National Park. This little wonder finds itself right on the side of the Icefield Parkway and it's easy to just drive right passed it without realizing it. In the last few years, they have installed a parking area for visitors to have safe access. One of our favorite spots to stop and have a bbq and then run up to the top of the falls for a nice vantage point.

A view of Seattle in the State of Washington at the North West of USA. This city is surrounded by lakes, rivers and mountains, which makes the city quite interesting. At the background of the image you can city the buildings of downtown.

National Historic Landmark Roebling Suspension bridge

The bridge connects downtown of two cities Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington, Kentucky. The bridge was open for public use in 1867 and was the longest suspension bridge of it's time. The bridge spans over Ohio River. A special feature is the bridge runs a pedestrian path along it where pedestrians can cross river to enjoy the downtown skylines of both states.

This is a photo of Willis Creek. It's a slot canyon in Utah, part of a creek in the Grand Staircase Escalante National monument. We were there during summer 2 years ago. It was a hot day and the water of the creek was refreshing to walk through. At some point we almost for lost and this could be dangerous in the strong heat without sufficient water. But after all it was a great experience

New Hampshire, USA.
When I go for a hike and I find myself alone, I take the time to reflect on life. Sometimes it is only for a few seconds, but other time I have the chance to be alone for a few minutes. We need to make the best of all the time that we get to do something that we like.
