Zabriskie Point in Death Valley National Park in California just before sunrise. This is probably the most popular viewpoint in the park and there were at least 30 or 40 people already there when I arrived. Probably because it was too hot to sleep.

Every year in June, Sydney lights up during the Vivid Sydney festival, where visual arts and lights shows covers the many buildings and landmarks around Sydney Harbour. This year, I am especially impressed with the strobe light show at Circular Quay, where rays of blue lights emits from the top of buildings as well as the Harbour Bridge lighting up the sky.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #39 - winner announcement!

@dali-gis African Wednesday entry:

Sahrara Douz Tunisia. A visit to the Sahara Desert is an experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. It's a trip worth the effort, you'll have good memories to last forever. Imagine yourself at the top of a camel trekking in the Sahara Desert. There is nothing around you, and all you can hear are the tracks of the camel on the soft sand. The sky is vast and clear in the day and filled with millions of bright stars at night.

Lake Louise, Canada

If you do the Six Glacier Walk, eventually you will come close to this massive wall. Stone and ice, no chance to go any further but a really impressive view of what natures has formed here

You are absolutely right. The nature is creating some amazing things all around us.

Hey Thomas. Somebody is copying your post

Not sure you are already aware of it

This is the volcano Concepción on the island Ometepe in Nicaragua. When you hike the volcano and there is a clear sky, you can see both the Pacific Ocean and the Carribean Sea. When we reached the summit, it was unfortunatly very cloudy.

Stunning image! Thanks a million for your support. Tomas

Waipio Valley, Hawaii

When I visited Hawaii, Waipio Valley was closed off due to a dengue outbreak. All I got to see was the stunning view from this viewpoint. Waipio Valley is popular for hiking in the beautiful nature.

Autumn Sunrise At The Crossing

Its a beautiful thing to watch the mornings first light shining through the opening in the middle of Cathedral Rock. The slice of light on Oak Creek creek brings to life the Autumn color that just adds to the splendor of Red Rock Crossing in Sedona Arizona USA.

I have never seen it from this side. Looks magnificent as well!

The mountain behind the picturesque Athabasca falls, Mount Kerkeslin standing at almost 3000 meters tall. Taken on a cold winter day on one of our many visits to the waterfall. Can be found on the Icefield Parkway near Jasper Alberta.

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

View of the Fremont Bridge taken at sunset. Portland, Oregon is basically cut in half by the Willamette River and this is one of twelve bridges connecting the east side to the west side. There are another four bridges that cross the Columbia River.

Thank you so much for your participation. Have a great weekend! Tomas

~Blue Lagoon~
Came accross this location on a map from it's cool name... Jupiter Point. Although I acquired a few tics, the picture I captured were well worth it to me. I took this 30 second exposure just as the last rays of sunlight were disappearing over the horizon, which allowed for some amazing colors. thank you

Forgive me, it's been a while since I entered your contest, Tomas!

This photo was taken at Castle Junction, near Banff, Alberta, in Banff National Park, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. I was lucky to be here on a crisp morning late in the autumn to witness a beautiful sunrise lightpaint this foreground of fresh snow.

I know, I was wondering what´s happening with you. What a great comeback with this stunning image.

The American countryside is dotted with such vestiges. The cheerful blue paint on the wood siding of this derelict barn in Northern Arizona hints at the more glorious days of family farming and makes me yearn for a return to simpler times.

At firsth I thought it was Asia.... it is fascinating how some of the rural areas in the US look like....

Ha, that's funny, I would never have thought...
In the case of rural America, the wooden siding gives it away.

On the photo below you can see Valley of Fire state park. Park is located less than an hour drive from Las Vegas and it is definitely worth visiting. I have been there twice and would love to visit it again to see all this diverse geology and gorgeous flora and fauna of the park.
