7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #7 - the absolute winner takes 150 SBD!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday- where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 150 SBD! Today you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to a continent of Europe.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture to be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.
The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 15 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 150 SBD in total.

This photo shows a night view of Hong Kong. The reflections of the light of the buildings can be seen on the water. The photo was taken at Hong Kong Harbour, one of the most iconic places of this city. Some of the most important skyscraper of the city are located in this area.

I took this shot during our helicopter ride in Hawaii. The weather was perfect so we took heaps of photos. It seems like the water colour in Hawaii is a bit different to what we have in Australia. It’s was such a great trip!

Hello my friend ;) Finally I got the time to take part again!
This picture shows a marvelous water cave on Lokrum, a small island in the front of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Jumping into the crystal clear ocean water from those cliffs really was an unique experience.

I very much enjoyed my first trip to Rome, Italy but felt I should have stayed longer. The Forum was amazing, so much so that I returned at night to an overlook spot to take this long-exposure photo. If you look closely, you can even see the Colosseum in the background.

This was taken on my iPhone 7 Plus in the Borgarbyggð municipality of western Iceland. The landscape here is very rocky with beautiful gorges and glaciers. Iceland really has such a unique and fascinating beauty unlike any country I've seen. I would love to go back!

Skiing in Zermatt
The majestic Matterhorn is one of the most famous mountains in Europe with a height of 4478 meters. The area is an eldorado for outdoor fans during summer and winter time of course. Zermatt is on the swiss side and is a beautiful, car-free swiss town. Not cheap but always worth a trip. Image is from 2006.

This photo shows a sunset near of the Arc of Triumph " champs-Elysées Paris" on 08/08/2017 . I haven't the chance to capture a seasonal phenome which the sun has an appointment with the Arc of Triomphe as it seems to lie on the horizon. On August 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2017.

Photo taken in Bohinj lake the biggest lake in Slovenia. The lake's main tributary is river the Savica. It collects the Triglav Lakes Valley. The water in this lake changes three times per year.

I captured this photo in Paris, France at the Notre-Dame Cathedral a number of years ago while on vacation. There were huge crowds of tourists standing in front of the cathedral capturing pictures of their own, but I still managed to capture one that wasn't filled by all of the people standing in the way! I added a black and white filter as well, which I feel compliments this photo nicely.

Hi every one, glad to share my travel snap with you all of you. Good luck to everyone for this challenge.
This was taken while wandering around Iceland in 2008. Back in the days the country wasn't much of a touristic destination. A friend and I decided to go road trippin' around the country and explore this mysterious place. As I stood on the edge of Skogárfoss, I shot this wonderful Icelandic landscape that just blow my mind.
