South of France hides fantastic treasures such as this Roman aqueduct that is still standing and in very good shape. It is named "Le pont du gard" and really is something to see! It is incredible to see how good and beautiful were the construction centuries ago.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #69 - winner announcement!
@vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:
Along the Hoogly river, the sun is slowly setting. The colours are very warm and this is the best time to hop on a boat and sail the waters to enjoy the view over amazing temples built on the river side.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #69 - winner announcement!
@kekos Australian Monday entry:
Orange fiery sky under the bus station in New Brighton, Christchurch - the biggest city of south island of New Zealand. One of my nice memory for living in that suburb in Christchurch with architecturally unique pier and scenic coastline.
@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Where cold meets warm. Too much stunning (even in my experience) and calm sunset at Curonian Spit, Lithuania. Deep winter and some nice icy frost formations on the beach sand. While warm colors of sunset making the overall view very unusual and contrasting. Enjoy the scenery!
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #69 - winner announcement!
@axeman African Wednesday entry:
The Al-Haramlik Palace. The Al-Haramlik Palace, at the Montaza Palace complex in the Al-Montaza royal gardens in Alexandria, Egypt. Perfect place to get some rest even from the hot Egyptian sun. Shot in the morning while traveling with tourists bus, so the sun was just rising behind the palace. Enjoy the scenery!

The Blue Caves are one of the most popular and advertised attractions of the island Zakynthos. Their name is due to the particular reflections of the water in the caves and you can visit many of them with a small boat.
The Church of Saint John the Baptist, commonly known as the Rotunda of Xewkija or Xewkija Rotunda, is a majestic Roman Catholic church found in town of Xewkija, Gozo, Malta. Built in 1678, it is one of the most important arcitectural landmarks of the whole island of Gozo.
This is a view from the Sisily island of Italy. I hiked from the town of Taormina to the hilltop for the well-known ancient theatre. Afterwards, I walked downhill and arrived at a viewpoint at sunset. Lucky me! So I got to see this splendid scene above. Hope you enjoy it like I did! :)
Can there be anything more relaxing than enjoying the beautiful nature in Norway? Even when the sun isn't smiling, the many fjords are really magnificient. So this peaceful place isn't too bad to live there.
Oh man this is spectacular. I want to live in one of these houses! :)
Vatican City is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church and home to the Pope. Considering it is an independent city-state, it is tiny – the smallest state in the world by both area and population. Words cannot describe the beauty of the Vatican inside and out you could spend a day here wandering around taking in the sights. Absolutely breathtaking, the architecture, paintings and artefacts are just amazing.
The magnificent dome of the Cathedral Church (Berliner Dom) is one of the main landmarks in Berlin’s cityscape – and marks the spot of the impressive basilica housing the city’s most important Protestant church.
I remember shooting this picture on a summer night right at Bayonne shore. The sand, rocks and emptiness create this feeling of being on the red planet (Mars). It is incredible to see how night time and low angle can give such a different feel of a place :)
Location: Bayonne, France.
Saint Lazarus Church
Night view to well lightened and pretty famous Saint Lazarus church locates in Larnaca, Cyprus. Truly golden example of architecture. Shot few months ago during our vacations there with wide angle lens
Was damn hot evening (imagine how hot was daytime :)
Enjoy the scenery!

Montepulciano, Italy. You must know this city name, Tuscany is full of nice little wine city to visit. Here, we can admire old Etruscan cellar transformed into a wine cellar. The wine tasting was so good!
This is Pingvellir National park, in Iceland. I visited Iceland during winter, so all the park was covered in snow. It has to be a beautiful park in every season, but all the snow makes it even more beautiful. Apart from its beauty, it has historical value as well: is was home to what is considered the world's oldest parliament; this was the old tribes of the country would gather, centuries ago!
