7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #28 – winner announcement!

@funtraveller Asian Sunday entry:

Hello @czechglobalhosts! This is the view of Marina Bay area in Singapore, a photo that I took while there's an incoming storm / heavy rain along my way. It's an uncommon scene and this serves as my entry to the Asian Sunday photo challenge.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #28 – winner announcement!

@benfenson Australian Monday entry:

This is Kiama lighthouse on the NSW, Southcoast, taken during a violent thunderstorm at the start of this years storm season. My partner and i had originally walked out to the tip of the headland to photograph the storm coming in from the West but the storm was moving so quickly that by the time we had setup, bolts of lightning were exploding all around us prompting us to head for cover. Just before making it back to the car the wind and rain hit luckily my camera gear stayed dry!.... I didn't ;)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #28 – winner announcement!

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Sunset Baltic Sea coast, nearby Klaipeda, Lithuania. A big stone as center of a composition and long exposure to freeze the movement of the wave. The most difficult part is actually to stay with dry shoes :) Every time sea just tries to catch me, but have enough experience so far to predict bigger waves. Enjoy it!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #28 – winner announcement!

@photofreediver African Wednesday entry:

I have no doubt that Sudan is one of the best places in the World for diving. Always warm Red Sea, an abundance of colorful corals and tropical fish make every dive striking and unforgettable. It's a place where every instant of water under water you want to leave in your memory and on the photographers, of course!

There are many beautiful places in Europe, but it's hard not to be taken by the beauty of Lake Como, Italy. I took this photo in the town of Varenna, about 40 miles north of Milan. The town itself is super small, less than 1000 people, but it's part of a string of small towns in this area. There are plenty of lovely restaurants, gardens and historic buildings for the many tourists who come here. This is one of those parts of the world that lives up to its reputation.

Budapest, Hungary

Budapest is easily one of the most striking cities in Europe, a jewel perched along the banks of the Danube. On my first night in the city, I took a walk along this storied river, and was instantly charmed by Budapest and its architecture. In the blue light of an early evening, with the lights of the city reflected in the Danube, Budapest is especially beautiful.

Amazing!

Very fresh frame from yesterdays evening shot at Baltic Sea coast, nearby Klaipeda, Lithuania. Stunning insane sunset colors caused by very high humidity of the air.
This piece of wood somehow reminds me a swan ready fly into this colourful sunset

Enjoy it!

The Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias in Valencia is one of Spain's most controversial building projects: The architectural wonder went one billion Euros over budget and still, some buildings are already falling apart just years after opening. Nevertheless, this place is now an iconic landmark of Valencia and a cannot be missed!

Matterhorn.jpg

Perspective shades everything in life. It's not the situation itself that determines how we think and act; its how we view the situation. Here is a slightly different take on the classic Matterhorn sitting at 4,478 metres (14,692 ft). Shot while enjoying the winter sun from the summit of the neighboring Klein Matterhorn (Little Matterhorn) at 3,883 metres (12,740 ft). Switzerland.

Prague, Charles bridge
Charles bridge is one of the most visited monuments in Prague. One day when I set off to take pictures of the city center I noticed that the waterworks beneath the bridge are in the lower position. So I headed to the bridge where they were to see stones on the waterfront, which is not commonly seen.

I took this photo in Venice during my last visit which dates back to last week.
It was a beautiful day, I visited many monuments and important buildings, such as the Bovolo Staircase, St. Mark's Square and the Basilica of San Marco, the Doge's Palace etc ...
I advise everyone to visit Venice and those who are curious can visit my blog where every day, I tell with my photos and my feelings, the magical places of Venice.

The best sunrise I ever photographed in Iceland. Out in the middle of nowhere on the northern Strandir coast of the Westfjords is a swimming pool and a beach at a place called Krossnes. We had the place to ourselves.

Krossnes 2.jpg

(I shared a different but similar photo of this sunrise for this contest a long time ago).

These are some of my favorite place in France, rocky beaches and strange shaped cliffs. The northern ocean is quite cold and not much people are swimming there. People rather walk along the cliff to there summit watching the ocean from above.

Location: Etretat, France.

The winery estate Herdade das Servas is a well-known wine producer located near the city of Estremoz, in the heart of the Alentejo wine region (southern Portugal). The way the farmhouse was built, in total harmony with nature and land, is a great example of eco-friendly architecture !

This is so unique! I love it!

Thanks Flo :)

Awesome shot, love the composition and all the textures and patterns!
