Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians to which continent NZ belongs to.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

@rinawonderlands Asian Sunday entry:

I woke up to see a sunrise, and luckily there is also a little rainbow over the sky, which is rare to see here. It's beautiful eventhought it's not a full one. The colorful sky, give a reflection color to the sea and sand. I took this pretty picture in Candidasa beach, a relaxed spot on the east Bali where you could snorkel.

The southern sky rises over the windswept isolation of a small abandoned cottage. Maria Island is a remote mountainous island located in the Tasman Sea, off the east coast of Tasmania, Australia. It was named in 1642 by Dutch explorer Abel Tasman after Maria van Diemen (née van Aelst).

Phenomenal shot, Rob!

Beautiful stars shots @intrepidphotos , and i like the tree also :)

Queenstown is a cute little town located on the south island of New Zealand. It build on the raffle of a gigantic lake and surrounded by the mountains.

Here is a capture I shot while wandering around the lake. This man was sitting on the small pierre, chilling by the water under the branches of the tree.

I wasn't going to Disturbed, so I waited patiently for him to stand up and leave!

Location: Queenstown, New Zealand.

I love the lake on this little town 😊 @vinceboisgard

It truly is a nice place 😀

Today I show you the most intense sunset I have photographed in the last five years. It was during our last week of travelling through Australia when we visited the Great Ocean Road. After a grey and rainy day we went down to the beach at the Gibson Steps for sunset. I didn't expect much to happen but we waited anyway. Just a minute or so before sunset the sky broke and exploded in the most wonderful sunset colors I had seen in a very long time.

Beautiful sunset colors 👌 @mibreit-photo

Sydney Harbour has some of the best views in my opinion. The famous Opera House always standing next to the the Harbour Bridge - its like they are a couple hand in hand. With the Harbour Bridge close by, it is the best place to see the new year fireworks which it is also seen by the rest of the world.

Nice pic @travelgirl :) will definitely check out The Opera House when i visit Australia

There are lots More to see in Australia :)

I took this photo last weekend at a place called Cellito Beach on the mid New South Wales coast in Australia. As we were about to head home the wind blew the thick cloud away lighting up the sky beautifully.

On this photo I going to show you the wild coast by the Great Ocean Road. The Great Ocean Road is known for his Twelve Apostles, a collection of limestone cliffs on the shores of Victoria's coast.
The rocks in the photo are opposite the Twelve Apostles. This section of the Great Ocean Road is located in Port Campbell National Park in Victoria, Australia.

A walk alone Sydney got me to this area. It is nice when you explore a city by yourself. All I had that day was my google map, a camera, and my semi-winter clothes.

This is Old St. Helensburgh station in south sydney. Originally built in the late 1800's it was abandoned not long after. it has become home to a large colony of glow worms that light up the roof of the tunnel when it is dark.

🇳🇿 Rotorua 🇳🇿
For anyone who doesn't know it, New Zealand is a beautiful country and where there are spectacular forests full of magic and charm like this one, found in Rotorua.

Any place is worthy of a shot, even if you don't realize it, a mere rest on the road becomes a place to take a picture, and Rotorua stands out mainly for living with the culture, traditions and gastronomy of the Maori people.

Parameters settings used for this pic were: iPhone 6s Plus 📱

Great photo. But this here doesn't look like Rotorua ;-) Where is this

During my 1-year backpacking trip throughout Australia, I have made several amazing road trips. For me, this photo symbolizes what it really means to go on a road trip in Australia. It’s the ultimate freedom: sky above, asphalt below . Endless red desert as far as you can see, and nothing holding you back but your sense of direction. We stopped on the way and made this photo, and for me this includes everything I love in traveling.
