Four. Pretty well known combination of one large and three small pyramids - a part of famous pyramids of Giza, Egypt. Shot at noontime, but quite cloudy winter day two years ago with a tele-photo lens. From the left you can see the city of Giza. Actually shot through the window of moving bus, so final result not so bad indeed. Enjoy the scenery :)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #65 - winner announcement!

@roadtrips Asian Sunday entry:

Chess Pavillion. On the famous Mount Huashan you can visit this beautiful place. The way down to the pavillion is a very narrow path which you have to climb with the help of steel chains. So even the way there is an adventure.

I took this picture in the southern valley of Ethiopia, near the boarder of Kenya. These girls were singing and dancing cheerfully. They wore distinctive accessories made with bright-colored beads and feathers. And the wooden object on the middle girl's head was not only a decoration, but also a common bench used by locals to rest. :)

Wow, that sure is pretty fascinating.... I have never seen anybody to wear a bench on the head as a part of the decoration.:)

Red moon over Nile dunes

Early morning in Aswan, Egypt. The morning when we finally arrived by cruise ship from Luxor after three days of journey. As quite often woke up very early to see if can catch some nice shots.
And this setting red moon was quite a win.
Hovewer was just beginning of sunrise and still low light. Had to use very long tele-photo lens to catch the moon big enough. So that was on long end with pretty closed aperture, so means more noise.
Not really perfect quality, but better have that one, than to have nothing ;)

Enjoy the scenery :)

East Africa green post rains

east africa.png

The fresh grass after the rains is a great place to check in on the world and see the East African Rift. Beautiful greens and fresh leaves make for good eating for plant eaters, but watch out for lions...

Original photo...

Thank you for your participation. Have a great day.

Photo taken in the federal capital territory of Nigeria, the sun set shadow, feasibly spotted on the surface of the river portraying the beauty of nature's finest at it's best. CCb to the world

That sure is a pretty spectacular sunset. Well done!

This is the Aswan souk in Egypt just before the rush hour start. At this time, most people are eating, otherwise, it would be overcrowded and full of life. Visiting a souk is a must do in any city.

Thank you so much for your submission. Have a great day.

Chefchaouen, Morocco

The mountain village Chefchaouen in Morocco was shaped by Jewish and Muslim immigrants who were expelled from Andalucia in the late 15th century, so it comes to no surprise that the Medina has a Spanish touch. Nowadays, it is most famous for its blue houses, but the blue paint has been added more recently.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

That sure is quite unusual to paint all the houses blue but I kind of like it:)....

Kids playing on a hot summer day in KwaZulu South Africa :-) This photo taken in Kwazulu-Natal at Midmar dam.

It is a recreational dam where people do swimming, boating, fishing, camping and picnicking, Midmar dam is also the venue that hosts the annual Midmar Mile, which is a swimming competition held once a year where contestants have to swim a marked out route of 1 mile. Usually fun for the whole family and everyone comes out to test their swimming skills and spend a family day outdoors together.
