Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!
Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Africa.

Sunset over the Nile. Wonderful colorful sunset while traveling up the Nile on cruise ship couple of years ago. Multidimensional composition with Nile at foreground and then coming forest and mountains far away. Shot with long tele-photo lens compressing the perspective. Just beautiful landscape and great memories. Enjoy the scenery :)

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

A fish farm in Aceh Indonesia. I took this picture at sunset yesterday. For the people of Indonesia, this fish pond is to help the family economy. If you visit Aceh, you will get a lot of these fishponds.

Night walk around the Darling Harbour, while Sydney city sleeps it is good to walk around the place. Enjoying the calm of the night to rediscover the place shining under bright new light is very peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely recommend spending some time there to anyone.

This apocalyptic photo was taken on my favourite beach in Mexico - the Xpuha Beach aka heaven on Earth. It is a remote and beautiful beach with deep white powder sand, crystalline waters with rich marine life. Still relatively unknown, it is a tranquil beach with few people.

Sahara Sand Dune Sunset
Walking up this steep dune was pretty exhausting, but at the top I had left all other tourists behind. Watching the sun setting over the Sahara from this spot was one of the highlights of my trip to Morocco earlier this year.

Fort Qaitbay, Alexandria - Egypt
Fort Qaitbaya is a 15th century defence fortress over looking the Mediterranean Sea. It's a very nice ancient building to explore with some great views of the sea and city.
Evening Nile panorama
Another view from hot and amazing Egypt. The panorama of the Nile while passing with cruise ship up the river from Luxor to Aswan. Very warm (winter) evening :) Beautiful warm colors of the mountains making good contrast to cold colors of the skies and the water.

That awesome beauty and shades of Elegusi beach in Lagos state Nigeria that catches the eye of visitors from far and near. A cool place to relax and enjoy life at its best in the cool weather that radiates the environment during any time of the day.
Aswan is a city south of Cairo, Egypt. We can spend hours admiring the view. Felucca and Cruise Ship easily coexist on the Nile. The city can be very busy but also very relaxing. You just have to be in the right place.
