Prague/Czech Republic - Saturday photo challenge - share your personal pictures from your visit to the Czech Republic!
WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged and/or reported to @steemcleaners - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT
Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @liltammy:
Side view of the famous Slavia Coffee (Kavarna Slavia in the Czech language). Located right on the bank of the Vltava River in the center of Prague, facing the National Theatre, the Slavia Coffee has always been very popular among some of the greatest Czech personalities such as politicians, artists, writers etc. It was also the favorite coffee of the former Czech president Vaclav Havel.

St. Nicholas Church, the Old Town Square
Located along the existing from the Old Town Square, the exterior is very attractive, although paling in comparison to its nearby neighbor the Church of the Virgin before Tyn. The interior, however, is much more beautiful. There is a beautiful crystal (?) Chandelier and beautiful frescoes. The woodwork is also very impressive. I advise you to make a stop inside!
Love that place as well as your image. What a great entry for today's contest. Enjoy your Sunday.
You too ..Thanks Tomas.
Row of beautiful historic buildings located on the Masaryk Waterfront (Masarykovo Nábřeží in the Czech language) in the center of Prague. Facing these magnificent houses, there is the beginning of Naplavka, a popular chill-out spot where young locals as well as tourists gather to relax and enjoy some beautiful view of the Vltava River.
You recently published a post about St. Cyril and Methodius who were important saints in the Slavonic culture, since they introduced Christianity to the Slavs. Here I share a photo of the statue that represents them at Charles Bridge at Prague. This statue is on the north side of the bridge. This statue is quite modern, it was done in the 30’s of the XX century.
Prague's National Technical Museum has been documenting the changing face of technology and modern civilization since 1908, throughout the Czech Republic's troubled 20th century. The museum covers everything from the brewing industry to the history of the automobile, from architecture to aviation, astronomy and alchemy.
Very nice Charles Bridge over the river. Great view from both sides of the Bridge. Statues are being kept in a good condition. Beautiful way to cross the river. Statues, Vendors and bridge performers line the sides and it is always very crowded. Best view is very early in the morning.
Holy Hill is one of the most important dominant landmarks in Mikulov. A Way of the Cross will lead you to the summit of Holy Hill with its Pilgrimage Chapel of Saint Sebastian, bell tower and Holy Sepulchre. Cliffs of Jurassic limestone form an oval ridge with a flat top and steep slopes. Many plant species protected by law can be found on Holy Hill.
Wonderful photo challenge contest of Czech Republic /Prague. The views are elastin and heart touching. The photography is mesmerising. Contest winning images all of them. Thanks for sharing.
