I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @phortun:
I know this is not your typical entry for the contest but let me guys explain why I decided to submit this shot. The reason is actually very simple - Czech people love mushroom foraging and right now, the mushroom season is in full swing here :) I took this image in a forest outside of the little Silesian village of Radun just a few days ago.

Night view of the spires towering above Prague as seen from the streets not very far. I remember the day going not in grey but in those soft pink, orange and violet tones that made walking there feel like magic. Or that may be just a kind of nostalgia talking.

Today, I am coming with this shot of the Zermanice Dam, a beautiful water reservoir built on the Lucina River just a few kilometers from the Beskydy Mountains that can be seen in the background. Too bad it was cloudy today so the beauty of this place is not obvious from the photo :(

This is a quite different impression of me in the wondrous historic city ˋKutna Hora´ a few years back during this time of year ~ ⭐️ ~
The background is build by the famous ˋSt. Barbara's Church´ which truly is an impressive one — so it is funny to me how the perspectives in this image are quasi shifted and the human becomes the ˋking of the word´ with its presence in the foreground so to speak... something that will never be in real life where our beloved ˋmonuments of old´ most likely - very hopefully - will surpass us all and still be here when we are ghosts :)
Cesky Krumlov is a gem! A stunningly beautiful Mediaeval village, set beautifully on the bend of the river, and impressively overlooked by a magnificent castle. We were very lucky to visit during a Mediaeval Fair complete with market stalls, music and dancing. There are plenty of cafes, small shops, and lovely views. If in the Czech Republic, a visit to this small town is a 'must'. It is an easy day trip from Prague or elsewhere.

Originally a Gothic church from the 13th century. After the fire, it was reconstructed in the Baroque style after 1730. (Architect K.I.Dietzenhofer)
It is one of the largest and most beautiful Prague churches. It fits perfectly into the Malá Strana environment.
St. Nicholas Church
This beautiful church is located in the Mala Strana district. The church itself is already a picture, but also the buildings around it are very beautiful. The fresco of the dome was under restoration work and at the entrance there was a sample photo for visitors. The church is very beautiful and worth knowing.
St. Bartholomew's Gothic Cathedral
This is a large and beautiful building, definitely worth a visit in the cental square of Pilsen. The architecture is impressive and the shops and cafes in the area make for a great stop to catch the view and relax.
Saint Barbara's Church is a beautiful Gothic building with a remarkable history. Not only has the Cathedral undergone a long construction but it also has become an integral part of the town of Kutná Hora. St Barbara is the patron saint of miners who form a major part of the town, that’s why the Cathedral is a holy place for them, a place of prayers and appeals. The church has been restored; few medieval frescoes have been preserved. Yet the altar and choir stalls as well as the organ are well worth seeing.
Charles Bridge
A breathtaking sight in Prague. Definitely one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my life time. I recommend a morning trip here when the tourists are not as plentiful. The crowds can make this place feel like Disneyland. There are constant patrols of bands marching across the bridge and playing music, a couple little shops littered on the edges of the bridge and some of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen.
Both beautiful and moving. The statues show of a life lost, slowly taken away, no way for it ever to be returned to what it was. At the bottom of Petrin Park, near the funicular station. Olbram Zoubek with these statues perfectly shows the disintegration of humanity under communism. His simple style, for which he is extremely famous in the Czech republic, give even more power to this dismembering. A must see.
