Oh man! We had almost the exact same story when we went to Sao Miguel. lol It started with that photo that sparked our interest, be we had a bit of a tough time finding it as well. Luckily, not AS hard of a time as you guys did. It sure is a beautiful piece of trail though, isn't it? Did you stop at the giant abandoned hotel at the top of the crater???
haha, how funny :-D After finally finding the spot, we really made bit fun of ourselves...we didn't think that this happend to a lot of others. Yes, we saw the hotel - it somewhat destroys the idyll of the place. And yes, the tour was really nice - but exhausting ;) Where did you hike?
