Today's Author Showcase is a bit different then normal for me. I have never chosen ALL posts that are video based. On the plus side, only three of them are dTube videos that many will have issues watching, the other three include YouTube videos. Although, the dTube ones are worth watching 8 seconds at a time while it lags and drags all the way through. Since there is usually less to write about a video post I have actually chosen to featured six posts this time around.

ITB Berlin - Street Art & The Biggest Travel Conference in the World!!

We start off today's Author Showcase with a terrific video from a new user on the platform, @pierreduprey. He is an Englishman who is currently living in Amsterdam and trying to become a full-time filmmaker. If this video is any indication his filmmaking career should be well underway.

He captures so many amazing sites in Berlin while at the 2019 ITB Berlin Travel Conference. The thing that really struck me about this video though, is the editing. So many videos on the site are great videos, lots of great photos edited together and then some music track thrown over it. You will notice the music for this video is much more thought out. Pierre actually chooses the music and then edits the video to the music. This is why many of the shots switch on the key changes and at specific points in the music. For me that just takes it to a whole new level. Other users could definitely take a lesson from this and make their own work just that much better.

This is another occasion where a new author (this is his third post) on the blockchain has gotten noticed right from the start. I am surprised someone didn't catch him on his very first video from his trip to Iceland where we get to know him a bit, while he also captures some amazing Aurora shots. You can check out his Weekend in Iceland here.

Go watch Pierre's full Berlin video here, and be sure to follow him to see all his great new posts as they come out.

Boy Bands vs Girl Groups Greatest Hits Mashup!

Images property of @tsprandy

This video from @tsprandy is pretty amazing. They managed to get in 36 songs in just over four minutes, and yes, all while driving. They get in all your favorite boy and girl bands, from Aly & AJ to TLC, from the Backstreet Boys to One Direction, and pretty much all the bands with symbols in their name like 98°, *NSYNC, O-Town, and more.

Be sure to check out their blog page @tsprandy and their YouTube Channel which has 68,000 subscribers for more great mashups.

Episode 6: Sailing to Norfolk & The Intracoastal Waterway

Images property of @hownottosail

I've always dreamed of being able to do something like this. Just get on a boat and sail from place to place. Of course, I don't sail, so it is usually more a dream of getting into an RV and just driving. Not being locked in at one place. Always something new and exciting just down the road, or 25 nautical miles away in this case.

@hownottosail is living the dream. However, as their video chronicles show, not all dreams go as planned. While they get to feel he sensation of sailing on the open ocean with no land in sight, they also have to deal with engine troubles, rough weather, and other obstacles that pop up along the way.

This episode shows us what happened after some strong winds kept them in Cape May, New Jersey for a time, and their trip from there down to Norfolk, Virginia, and into the Intracoastal Waterway through North Carolina.

My favorite part of their videos is that they bring along a drone to capture some stunning shots as they are sailing along, like this photo above.

Go watch the full video here, and be sure to go see Episode 7 which is now posted as well.

Time To Make The Syrup, Tapping Trees and Boiling Sap

Images property of @thecitystead

From the wide open ocean we head off to Michigan to meet up with @thecitystead who was out tapping some Maple trees. I never realized just how easy this process is. It always seemed like it would be much more complicated. As usual though, the homesteaders here on the blockchain continue to demystify many things and show us just how to do them.

If you don't have Maple trees near you, or just aren't interested in making your own syrup, be sure to check out the rest of their blog for all their videos from their greenhouse and more. One great thing they are trying to get started is a seed swap, check out that video here where you can sign up to join in the comments section.

Phil Collins - Easy Lover (Cover / Remake by Egg Shrimp Music)
Vocal. Meat & Egg Shrimp

Images property of @kingsmusic

While their video isn't as monumental a production as Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey's version, Egg Shrimp Music does an amazing cover of the song. Their finished video has some great production value. There are lots of great shots of the keyboard, the drums, and guitar playing edited together in a high quality final piece.

Be sure to check out their blog page for a great mix of popular new music like 30 Seconds to Mars, and Linkin Park, as well as many classic bands like The Scorpions, and Whitesnake. After watching quite a few of their videos, my favorites are It's Time by Imagine Dragons, and Love of My Life by Queen.

LIVE FROM MY KITCHEN - COOK WITH ME!

Images property of @bvgan

@bvgan is always producing great videos. Today she shows up how to make some healthy homemade tortilla chips, a cilantro lime dip, and even a Virgin Mai Tai smoothie in anticipation of the trip she was about to take. Everything she makes here is simple to copy and enjoy for yourself.

After this video she headed off to Hawaii and has already created a video from there - Live From Hawaii - Dreamin'.

@bvgan posts about so many things other than food. Be sure to check out her blog for posts on everything from makeup options, haircare, weight loss, and much more, all based on healthy options and vegan living.

I'm trying to discover great authors to follow and then you do an awesome author showcase, thanks :))

Hey, @curie.

I read or listened to four out of the six posts here, and they were all very good in their varied ways. Definitely worthy of showcasing. The music in particular, but the maple syrup and boating posts were really interesting, and informative. People are really making the most of their time and talents, and I'm happy that they're sharing it with STEEM, and that you all are there to help reward them for it.

Thanks, as always, for all you do. :)

Onward and upward.

Hi, I would love you to review my work as I believe I require an expert eye on things I am doing wrong, I would love to hear your advise on my steemit content, thank you for all you do to support great content.
