Photoblog - A Summer Evening With Merr In Dublin
Merr is an alternative model based here in Ireland. She's as fun as she is adorable so when she asked to do a shoot in the coastal town of Howth, I couldn't refuse.
Howth is a small peninsula formed from a small mountain on the North side of Dublin Bay. We started on high ground, at The Cock, yes, we have a pub here called The Cock Tavern. It was still too early to get drunk, so we started with Loop The Loop ice creams. Hardcore.
Merr has tons of tattoos. My favourite is Salvador Dali on her left bicep. She also has an assortment of flowers, melting faces, ya know, happy stuff.
We made our way down to the harbour via the abandoned school yard, and past the church ruins. The sun was peeking over the edge of the buildings and going down fast. Before long it was out of sight, so we scurried down the dirt paths to get to the harbour for one final view of the sun on the horizon at the sea.
The harbour is so mellow in the evenings. We sat and chatted while the sun went down. After that, there was only one thing to do. Fish n chips, followed by a couple of Guinness.

Since you are obviously way better than I am with a camera, if you had to choose an entry level DSLR camera to start with, what would you recommend?
I've become interested in photography recently, but am having a seriously difficult time trying to pick something out. Ideally, I'd like a camera (and supporting lenses) that could take multiple pictures per second and be able to photograph the following:

These are such fantastic shots! And she is adorable. :) Your perspective is wonderful. I especially love the one with the little pathway in the background. The color of the flowers really compliment her rose tattoo.
