I second what it is said here. Eros pista is hot but very good in gulaș made from 3 kinds of meat and boiled for 4 hours.
"slanina" is what we call it the white pieces in the picture. Comes from the pig and a delicacies is what it is...especially with home-grown tomatoes, sausage from the smokes, garlic and corn bread
