Sacsayhuaman, Cusco, Peru – Part 1
In the above picture, the two different construction methods are evident. The monolithic, perfectly fitted polygonal rocks behind yours truly, and the smaller Incan rocks, on the right.
In the below picture, evidence of an Incan repair, to the already existing, polygonal megalithic construction can be seen in the top left.
Well, that’s it for part 1. I hope you've enjoyed the quick general tour of the site. In part 2, I will focus on some of the most anomalous features of the site, with another selection of 12 photos.
