Our first full day at @summerstime's cabin in the hidden valley of Laquin and Pennsylvania's Highland Glacial Plateaus, we were more than stoked to make the near annual hike from the cabin to the hidden nature sanctuary known by us as "The Rock" and by the locals as the waterfalls.

The Rock is simply a large rock outcrop, carved out by the relentless power of the creek, the Little Shrader over millions of years. The smoothed shales, siltstones, sandstones and tunneling Eddie holes within them are evidence of just how long this river has flowed the same path.

We are thankful to be blessed with the opportunity to travel to this amazing, yet mostly unknown to the outside world, location in nature. Pictures can only do so much to capture the full beauty, and awe that this scene can bestow.

Would be the first of 4 before the fish started getting smart.

I was of course enjoying myself as I document the trip for our viewing pleasure. @docroultson didn't want me to be left out of all the photos.

IMG_2613.jpg Good thing he is releasing after catching these trout

Feel as though he would have depleted the entire stream of the fish if he wouldn't have released them back into the water.

Fire is nice to have when the water is so chilly still, so early into the warm season.
