Sunday's Best: Panimahawa Ridge, Bukidnon, Philippines

Waking up to this beautiful view made me forgot how tired I was from the trek.
Panimahawa Ridge is located in Bukidnon, Philippines, it is in the largest island of the country, Mindanao. The name Panimahawa was derived from the word "Pamahaw" which means breakfast. You can get there by riding a bus from Cagayan de Oro City to Bukidnon and stop in Impasug-ong.

Its a 2 hour climb depending on your pace, in our case we climbed it for approximately 3 hours and it was so worth it. We were accompanied by two local guides who were of so much fun. We passed by Dila River through the bamboo bridge built by the locals. Since we started climbing late, we arrived at the site around 7 PM. It was also raining at that time which made it much harder to climb since the trail was slippery. It was dark already when we got there but luckily the rain stopped, so we were able to enjoy watching the night sky.

The following day, we got up early to witness the sunrise and it was so magical. I was able to fully enjoy the view up there and realized that from there you can see Mt. Kitanglad, one of the highest peaks here in the Philippines(but unfortunately i wasn't able to take a picture of it ).

The place was so beautiful and I would really love to go back there someday.
