Why I travel

Hi,

I wanted to do a travel post today, but dtube is a mess and not working. On 3speak I clicked something that was asking for Steem so I left it there.

Well, back to why I travel. Now I travel a lot for work, but on the weekends I love to pick up my family and go for short travels.

I was raised like this by my parents. After the fall of the iron curtain, we could experience more free traveling. Before we have been not allowed. Coming from an intellectual family, we have been always seen as misfits and potential threats to the communist regime. We needed to say every time we have been traveling where we are heading and whom do we meet.

May parents are free spirits and such control behavior was irritating at least. So after the fall of communism, we started to enjoy life at it's fullest. My father started a business with Austria and we have been travelling there almost every month at the start of the 90's. It was a good time as I've learned a lot about different people and different societies. I've seen the first black person with 7 and I was staring. My mother felt ashamed for me, but I cared less. I was so curios to learn more and by travelling I could learn so fast.

Now I try to give my kid the same experience of traveling. We try as much as possible to get out of the house and explore. Also in the city we can say that we travel, because there are so many places that we don't know.

For me traveling is short said, broaden up the horizon. With every travel I see how narrow minded I can be and the best medicine for this is to get out, visit and interact.

Do you like to travel?
