Journey in the Underwater World: Meet Santa Aquarists, Sharks, Smiling Stingrays, Giant Karps, Piranhas & Many More
Hello Steemians! Come join me on a Journey in the Underwater World at Aquaria KLCC Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Meet Santa Aquarists... Merry Christmas! Am really loving them, especially when they swam around to feed those marine animals, so interesting to see them socializing with those animals and especially in Santa Suits what a nice show and unique way to create that festive celebration mood.
Also, my highlights are those Smiling Stingrays, they sure attract lots of attention with their charming appearance. They know how to pose for the camera, talking about social skills. And they really like to be pet by the Santa Aquarists. I thought they are not a sociable species but they are. Not forgetting those Gentle Giant Karps, Cute Blubber Jellyfish, Spotfin Lionfish the Fashionistas, Dragon Moray Eels that look like alien fish, mighty sharks, beautiful Reefs, Piranhas and so many other amazing species of marine animals. Those beautiful coral reefs are amazing with graceful movements, think you will love them too. So many photos and videos to share. Hope am not overloading you with those videos, but I feel you can enjoy it too.
I have shared my little stories too. When the Stingray followed me and the Giant Karp came to me when I called him I did think that perhaps I can consider changing my career to a Zoologist with the gift of talking to the animal. I really did have this feeling because, after finished visiting Aquaria, I went to a restaurant to eat. Outside the restaurant, this purple-backed pigeon bird couple was posing for me and they flew after I finished taking their photos. What a coincidence in one day. Lol, talking about my imagination to be the next Dr Doolittle hahaha. Hope you enjoy this sharing!
The Aquaria KLCC is an oceanarium/underwater world aquarium located beneath Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre within KLCC. It is built in a 60,000 square feet in two levels with a 300 feet underwater tunnel. There are over 250 marine species and over 5,000 other animals species from Malaysia and around the world. You will be amazed by the journey of water from the land to the sea. The journey starts in the highlands, down through rivers, the rainforest and mangroves to the coral reefs into the deep blue sea. An enjoyable journey for those who love Coral Reefs and blue water explorations. And to those who dare to feed the sharks can try the Cage Rage Challenge.
A Santa Aquarist and a Stingray.... ufff one for the camera. Isn't he adorable?
Oops he missed his food.
Hello There! A Smiling Stingray Made My Day. This Stingray followed me, he only swam away after he was sure I have taken his photo.
Santa Aquarist and Stingrays
Giant Karp. This giant Karp is quite far away from me so I waved to signal that I called him and surprisingly he understood my signal and swam very close to me. A very gentle big guy.
Blubber Jellyfish (Catostylus mosaicus). I am loving this jellyfish, so cute and colorful. They are the most popular pet jellyfish. Who would not like them, they are like super cutie
Black Ghost Knifefish. Look at the red eyes, sure looks like a ghost to me
Spotfin Lionfish. The Fashionistas. Look at their gorgeous dressing, no one can beat them in the underwater world.
Shark
Dwarf Lionfish
Red-toothed Triggerfish (Odonus niger). Hmm but they don't have red-toothed.
Leopard Moray Eel or Dragon Moray Eel (Enchelycore pardalis). Looks like an alien fish
Elephant Nose Fish (Gnathonemus petersii). Nope not look like elephant nose to me, they have nose?
Scorpionfish
Silver Barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii)
Piranha. They don't look dangerous at all, they look shiny and glittery
Electric Catfish (Malapteruridae)
Ornate Spiny Lobster (Panulirus orgatus). He was very shy, I waited for awhile but he stayed there hiding.
Boxer Shrimp (Stenopus hispidus)
A Brown Banded Bamboo Shark (Chiloscyllium punctatum)
A Black Pacu (Colossoma macropomum)
Spotted Garden Eel. I am scared of any moving animals that look like snakes including this one, eeeee. Can someone please tell me how they orchestrated their movements like they are doing synchronize swimming but stuck on the ground!
Speeding Stingrays
Jellyfish
Oriental Whip Snake (Ahaetulla prasina) venomous but not dangerous. He is really hiding in the bushes but I saw him, nice camouflage
Beautiful Coral Reefs and Ponds
Such graceful movements, amazing Coral Reefs are my favorite. Aren't they classically beautiful?
Vertical Fish Tank
Cage Rage I Dare You. Come and feed the Shark... gee thanks man but I'll skip :)
Jaws Teeth. Hmm I think those are fakes. Please don't tell me they killed those jaws and took their teeth to be framed here, coz if yes that's really nasty.
Inside the Tunnel
