  • Paris is Europe's most favorite and popular destination around world.
  • Of course it is famous for Eiffel Tower and Disneyland.
  • World's famous museums like Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral and Palace of Versailles (Château de Versailles).
  • Cruise tours and famous local foods.
  • City tours by bus and cycles.
  • All the famous destination within reach by public transport which really very good.
  • Helping and friendly people.

Best time to visit

As Paris is really very beautiful place, usually you can travel Paris any at time of the year but traveling between April-July is mostly recommended. I had travelled in first week of April. I spent around 3 nights/ 4 days and it was really good amount of time to explore Paris.

Best mode to travel

Well it depends on your location and budget especially you are travelling with family. If you are already in Europe then there a lot of cheaper options available to travel. I live in Brussels, Belgium so I chose to travel by train because I have two kids and traveling in train with kids is really a good experience. Travel time between Brussels-Paris by trains is just 2 hours 30 min only. I used https://be.oui.sncf/en/ to book my travel tickets. This site is really good and provides a very competitive prices while doing booking especially when you book in advance.

How to choose good hotel

Booking a hotel in Paris is not that easy as I was thinking. I had searched a lot for good hotels in terms of public transport connectivity, location and of course price too. Mostly hotels around the city center are really highly priced and you couldn't get the right value of your money. So I would recommend you that do your own research before you travel. Best region is to stay is Western part of Paris.

I stayed at Hotel Ibis Styles (92140 Clamart, France) it is just 15 min away from the city center and easily accessible through public transport. Clamart very safe, peaceful and calm place.

Apps to use during travel

When ever and where ever you travel for holidays having a useful mobile apps in your mobile is really handy and helpful. I had installed following apps in my phone was quite helpful:

  • Google Trips - Helps you to choose famous places to visit, good restaurants to eat, places to hangout, provides good discounts, works online and offline etc.
  • City planner - Guides you to roam around the city with public transport show the price of your each journey selected.
  • Booking.com and TripAdvisor
  • Disneyland® Paris - If you have opted out Disneyland park trip then official Disneyland app will really helpful because both park Disneyland and Walt Disney are quite big and if you have an app then it is easy you to roam around and you can plan easily to see all attraction on time.

Book public transport tickets or passes online

RATP is a official public transport website which provides you a option to book tickets or passes for 1 day or multiple days. Buying a 1 day pass for public transports is really best thing always. You save a lot of time while buy ticket on the counter every time and that time can be spent on travel instead.

Public transport in Paris divided into 5 zones if you want to roam around the city center then you may opt a pass for Zone 1-3 and if you may go to Disneyland then you can opt Zone 1-5 pass.

Final Note: Paris is a really a beautiful place to visit and we have enjoyed a lot. Since city center is a crowded place so try to avoid visit by peak time. With kids never travel late night around city center.
